Ugly Game... Still undefeated

Travis Homer isn't on Mark Waltons level as a rb though. Thats ok bc that's why he was 2nd string and not a starter. But Mark Walton would've given our offense better production in both pass blocking and carrying the load.

Valid point about pass protection, but watch Walton's numbers drop like a lead ball last year when he played against ranked opponents. I really don't see much drop off with Homer, and Walton could easily have gotten shut down today with the poor OL play we had going all game long.

Sustaining drives hasn't been an issue? We aren't a good defensive team?

LOL.

Let me clarify, there has been issues with sustaining drives but nowhere near the way we looked today.

And yes we are not a good defensive team, really not even close. Too many scrub rbs continue to gash us constantly. We are creating more INTs but we look worse on defense than we did last year.

It's an ugly win... it happens. There were things that showed up this game that wasn't an issue before, like sustaining drives. That can get cleaned up.

Probably took this team for granted bc of all the injuries and looking ahead to VT. Classic trap game on the road but we won.

Ahmmon Richards has always had issues with drops.. dropped a few last year in crucial moments as well. Hopefully he figures it out which is possible.

We are not a good defensive team... our overall rank says so and our obvious issues with stopping the run. Tale tale sign of a defense that's a work in progress.

Offense needs work, play calling needs work but execution is the biggest issue. Rosier seemed to lock on one receiver too many times this game. Needs to step it up.

All in all very ugly game but we are still undefeated.
It's like taking a dump into your own mouth and being happy we didn't mess the floor. That win tasted like ****.

Walton wouldn't be doing **** behind this OL, nobody would.

Walton had big games vs Bethune Community College and Toledo.

I seen his resume last season vs anyone with a pulse and it shows nothing to support the claim he would do better than Homer or anyone else for that matter.

Walton would've had much better game than Homer today... homer fumbled twice, whiffed in pass protection a couple of times, and failed to find running lanes that were there. Yes Oline blocking was bad but Its not on the oline to find the cut back lanes for you.

I don't understand. Are we watching different games?

Also, Homer is the reason our running game sucked today.

Not the OL, not Richt having 3 running plays in his playbook. Nope.

I think we're watching different games.

Yeah you were probably watching another game

Last season was last season.... UNC isn't a ranked opponent so regardless it's not a valid point bc Mark Walton wouldve ran all over UNC based on the fact that they are a 1 win team.

I blame Richt for this game just like I blame him for all the other close games. A team takes on the identity of the head coach and Richt is not a cut throat type of coach. His play calling is too predictable and tendencies are easy to figure out. For example does anyone else notices if we have incomplete pass on first down we ALWAYS run the ball on second?

IMO, one thing is very obvious...[This is our performance during conference play]

What more do you want the D to do? They're holding teams to 16.2 PPG while forcing 2.6 TOs per game. Are they perfect? NO. But how much more do you expect?

We were ranked 50 in total defense before this game... we allow too many total yards of offense. Bend don't break.. we have a lot more room to improve. Keeping McCloud in the game isn't helping either.

MVP: Berrios
Honorable Mention: Dallas
LVP: Can't decide on which lineman, so award goes to Feagles
Dishonorable Mention: McCloud
Corching Decision: Again, so many to choose from. Attempting to kick 53 yard FG?

We are undefeated because we haven't played a good team. Don't say Toledo please.

FSU was a good team until we beat them. Duke and GT are good teams as well.

You mean 2-5 f$u that just got destroyed by BC? or do you mean 4-4 Duke who has lost 4 in a row and GT is not good what is wrong with you people.

Then stop watching, what’s your point?

Who are you? If I want any lip out of you I will rattle my zipper.

1. They're not bending or breaking. They're allowing 372.6 YPG in conference play. That isn't a lot. When you remove the bullchit opponents (cupcakes) and count what really matters, the D isn't bending and breaking. Keep in mind, they get no help from the offense. Have we won the TOP in an ACC game?

2. They're only allowing 16.2 PPG in conference play. That is not a typo. Since you're so insistent on rankings, what would that be in NCAA Scoring D?

3. They give our offense an additional 2.6 possessions per game.

4. They're averaging 4 Sacks and 9.2 TFLs per game.

The D isn't perfect but I will take the above in conference play. I don't know who wouldn't.
