UGAs trash is our treasure.

You really have to have a sad life if you try to focus on the bad and spin this hire into a negative.

He is the best candidate for the job. Period.

This logic is very flawed, richt has been more successful than any other coach on our radar including butch, and I wanted butch Davis.

I'm not sure what else people wanted. As soon as richt was fired he was the top candidate out there. Chip Kelly wasn't coming and to get chad or pagano met waiting another few weeks and that would've killed recruiting.

Sad that we now consider us a program lesser than a school who doesn't have a quarter of our success.

I'm sick to my stomach. These losers found another unimaginative loser.

See u in two years when the banners fly again.

You are an insufferable ******.

Not excited. 14 years and 0 titles with all the talent at Georgia. He has Kaaya as QB and all the talent you need in SFLA. NCAA titles are the expectations nothing less.

georgia has 2 titles in 122 years of playing football, and 1 was because herschel walker is a freak of nature.

Why is he not good enough for UGA but good enough for a program better ban UGA? Can u explain that?

Plenty of coaches who have been fired went on to have great success elsewhere. Sometimes change is needed, both for a program and a coach. It's the nature of the business.

Name me a coach fired from a college job who then won a NC at another program.

I don't feel like researching it, but there have certainly been coaches who struggled at one school and won a NC at another. The same is true with NFL coaches. There have been multiple super bowl winning coaches who struggled with another team. As I said before, it's the nature of the coaching business.

Some guy was at Michigan State and looked good but not great. What was his name? Nick...

He was good enough for Georgia for over a decade. Sometimes it's just time for coaches to move on. Also, if you pulled your head out from under a rock that last week the Richt firing has been consistently bashed. Richt is special. He's a Miami guy, and he's consistently done something Miami hasn't done in a long time: win double digit games. Who knows, with that, a huge budget for assistants, and the talent pool in South Florida we might just have the perfect storm brewing. Leggo!

I can't stand the fact that he coached in the SEC. I hate that league full of yahoos and bagmen. It's laughable that Blake torpedoed Butch because of his bagman and that NC had people writing papers for football players, and then turns around and hires a guy that coached an SEC team for 15years.

He is our Coach now. We must support him. Did I, Sonny Long, just say that? Wow!

Let's see how this plays out!
