This is the game that will pave our way to the playoffs. This is the scenario: Texas is at Georgia. If Texas loses, they now have 3 losses. Miami effectively takes their spot in the final 12 because now there is room for the ACC champ in the final 12. Then of course we have to win out. So it's simple. Texas loses and we win out and we are in. No question about it.

The only caveat to this would be if we somehow backed door our way into the ACC championships. Very low probability. But if we somehow got there and lost, then we are out of the playoffs. And rightfully so.

Let's go Dawgs!

I’ve already stated this a few times, but as long as Texas beats one of @UGA/TAMU, they will be in the playoffs. I don’t agree with it, but it’s 99.99% going to happen. This is assuming that they don’t lose their other game to Arkansas of course. As long as they don’t lose big this weekend, they probably won’t even drop that much, if at all.

I don’t see them winning either game, and I think A&M could run them off the field.

They are going to lose both

Keep thinking the CFP selections are about record.

You will sleep better at night when you accept the selections are made based on the logo on your helmet and the conference label on your jersey

It’s gonna be really tough for anyone to justify Texas being in with three losses plus two overtime wins against two bottom dwellers of the SEC.

If they put a Texas team with 1 more loss and the head to head with Florida over us...this is why people in the "Notre Dame can't lose" camp are partially right.

It's also why I can't agree with all these prediction posts where they say they want everyone currently ranked 1-7 to win. Those teams getting a second loss could catapult Notre Dame to top 5.

This. I wouldn’t call it a lock, but if it comes down to a 9-3 Texas team that just beat A&M, and a 10-2 Miami team, we would be in trouble.
