Classic letdown game. The real test will be the second half, after Smart tears them a new one at the half.
 
That fanbase seems like it'll meltdown post a bad loss. Curby doesn't have a great QB situation there (this year) but you don't get much leeway when your persona is mimicking Saban AND you're replacing someone still beloved by a large segment of their fans. Would be hilarious if the bomb drops today....and VT upsets Tenn...and Arky gets crushed by TCU.

Don't count VT out.

They're short on talent but Fuente can coach and Butch always ***** the bed in big games.

I'm not necessarily sold on Fuente as a great fit at VT (yet) but you're absolutely right about Jones. VT is like a 12pt underdog too. I'd never count on a Jones corched team to cover that.

Guess curby tried to save some cash, didn't think he needed to pay off the refs this week. WRONG, WRONG.
