He is definitely better the last three years than RICHt has been the last six or so.

But IMHO he isn’t any better than RICHt was when he took over at UGA. One could argue RICHt had less talent and a more loaded division to compete against when he arrived in Athens.

I also agree that it’s stupid to jump ship after a trip to playoffs and Sugar and an SEC championship. And two East division champs.

Let’s see how he deals w Mullen at Florida, and Stoops slowly but surely improving Kentucky.

Actually, the death erection about which I posted in another thread is a form of priapism.

Not pleasant especially if you have priapism while still alive.
 
UGA weren't up for that game - they were sulking because they were (rightly) left out of the playoffs.

It was a statement game for Texas, so they went full bore.

If I'm a UGA fan or on their board I'm worried that Smart couldn't motivate his players for the Bowl game. The best coaches are able to do that - even when it's 'meaningless'. They might just have another Mark Richt on their hands.
 
The loss Could not have happened to a more deserving team. UGA gets top ranked recruiting classes stacked with 4* and 5* recruits and they still end up 10-3! South Florida kids take the bags and choose UGA over Miami. UGA Fans acting entitled with incessant whining about being left out of the playoff

UGA took a chance and fired the best coach they ever had. They are the VTech of the SEC but they think they have the potential to be better. Well the window is closing very quickly as a few perennial Championship contenders in the SEC are getting their swag back.

Reflecting on this time in program history UGA fans will not be celebrating Smart as much as they will be bemoaning the treatment of CMR.

No championship for UGA means this was without a doubt the wrong move for them.
 
Kirby has no one else to blame. He has Top notch reciting classes, Boosters with bags, roster full of 4-5* recruits including many south Florida divas. Yet still finishes 10-3.
Hope the divas enjoyed the crap weather and 10-3 season!

Need an extension for Corch Kribby notsosmart.

LMFAO i told y'all boys that he was the exact same as Richt's first 3 years. Difference is, Richt won the Sugar Bowl (Year 2), and Capital One Bowl (Year 3), while losing to a try UF squad for trade in year 2.

Didn't Utah blow Bama out in the Sugar Bowl a few years back? I would have some other concerns about Smart, but this happens, even to Saban.

Nah, UGA was up for it and lost. They got beat. Simple as that. This just proves that college football is all about match ups, and its always unpredictableq. This Texas team beat both Oklahoma and now UGA. But managed to lose to a Maryland squad (that took Ohio State to overtime). They also lost to a not so good OKState squad....

So when miami was left out the BCS championship that year that florida state got in and they beat them, was miami not motivated to beat florida and prove to everybody they belong in the bcs
