UGA is fed up with Kirby.

The thing that everyone here is missing out on is they may have had the same amount of wins, but A kirby actually had to face Saban and the rest of the SEC powerhouses. Mork didn't have to deal with them. AND more importantly Kirby has been recruting better than Mork could ever dream of. Kirby has a ton of Fresh and soph 5 stars and is bringing in a ton more this year. If he keeps recruting like this he could be the biggest corch in the world. He will win an NC.

You said what would have happened if Mark Richts FIRST 3 years swapped with his last 3 years. I was saying if he didn't start off his career with those 3 good seasons he would not have made it to year 15 at UGA to see what would have happened in year 13, 14 and 15. He would have got canned after year 7 or so. Him doing well those first 3 seasons bought him a lot of goodwill with the school.

He was brought in to win the big games and has beaten Saban exactly zero times. Who else is Georgia facing that are SEC powerhouses in that horrid East?

I mean they got blown out by the only other legit team on their schedule in LSU, do you consider a 3 loss Florida/Kentucky great wins?
 
people are rooting against uga because they acted like babies over hte playoffs. Ohio State was CLEARLY better than them and would have beaten them if they played them tonight. uga acts like a loss to bama doesnt count. they are just annoying everyone.
 
UGA is a tier 2 program historically who got fed up with not reaching that next level. They get a lot of hype just because Smart came from Saban's tree but Smart is no Saban and as long as Saban is around, UGA will continue to come up short.

My statement had nothing to do with "did Kirby come in and do what he was supposed to do". I am just proving how Kirby was obviously a significant upgrade over Mork.

I agree with you but Saban is still there. UGA ain’t winning a title with Saban in the SEC. 40 years and counting til UGA won a natty.

Most Canes fans are rooting against UGA because they felt stupid for trying to say Kirby was a corch and wasn't as good as Mork. They are trying to make themselves feel better by watching UGA lose.

He out recruited Saban last year and may do it again this year. Saban is not some expert xs and os guy. If Kirby can stack as much talent as Saban it is anyones game.

The talent on both teams is the same right now. Saban’s former coordinators can’t beat him.

tbh i want uga to lose because saban continuing to win and recruit whoever he wants at bama is a foregone conclusion, dabo and clemson are a tier under, and we don't need another team right there with them. our ideal situation is saban, then everyone else in the also-ran category.

Be carful what you wish for is the moral of this story. Uga fans ungrateful af.
 
Smart has been a HC for 3 years. He’s been to 2 conference championship games, and he’s 1-1.

He beat a Heisman trophy winning QB, and went to OT in the title game in the playoffs.

He’s a legit coach.

But he’s still in Year 3. And he’s still learning on the job.

I think UGA and Texas and Clemson and Oklahoma are all where we want Manny to take the Canes. And that’s to a place that challenges Alabama.

Even if you can’t beat Bama, being in the discussion matters. Because Saban ain’t coaching forever. And when he’s gone, that machine won’t run quite the same, IMO.
