True.. It would have been easily to say..... Jones gonna bury this bum blah blah blah.... Any person above a novice knew Reyes was a legit contender.. Jones is the ***n GOAT and he showed it... Facts. I would love to see Khabib lose to ferguson. If Ferguson can keep it standing I can see it happening.
 
Fight was a draw to me. Needs to get run back. Wouldnt have been upset to see either guy win on cards by 3 rounds to 2. Judge who had it 4 to 1 shouldnt be allowed to judge again

Khabib losing to the Boogeyman isnt a hot take Sir. People look like they got hit by a train after being in the Octagon with El Cucuy. Tony deserves more respect.

At HW I think Stipe works him. At least based on what I’ve seen from Jones his last 2 fights.

After this fight I’m not a fan of Jones vs HWs.

He couldn’t keep Reyes down. He’ll have a tough time with bigger guys.

But he does hold a significant speed advantage.
 
I had Reyes winning Rounds 1 and 3 (but could see this round going to jones)

And Jones winning rounds 2,4,5

As fans we see the mystic of Jones and think wow Reyes is really winning this fight because he actually landing shots on the GOAT.

But peel that back if these were two unnamed guys. You had one controlling the octagon virtually the entire fight. Another landing more shots early but not really doing much damage. And the other fighter closing the gap in the later rounds with striking and takedowns.
 
I think you guys are misconstruing "slowing down" for giving less of a fvck about these fights. Bones has trump cards, but he insists on just boxing/kickboxing these guys, going the distance, and winning on points with his pressure, ring control, and the fact that he looks like no one ever does real damage to him while he'll pepper guys and get them to bleed.

Its like late-in-his-career Money Mayweather...just willing to go the distance and winning on points.

It is what it is...I personally have liked the drama of the last two fights as a result.[

Bones would beat every heavyweight not named Stipe Miocic. A fight against Francis Ngannou would be interesting...if Ngannou connected, he'd blast Jones into an early retirement, but if Jones could grind it out, could win in a decision.
 
He ran the lasts three rounds. You can’t TAKE the belt like that. He’s a beast of a young fighter. Beast. But, that was a bad strategy down the stretch.

And we all know why he was on his bike. We know why. Every fighter knows why. Jones walked through his best shots and if they banged it out Jones was going to decipher the code and end it.
