Featherweight Championship title on the line tonight, Holloway the champ with a Muay Thai background/Purple Belt BJJ vs Ortega the Black Belt Rener Gracie disciple was supposed to happen back in July for 226 but Holloway pulled out due to a concussion issue.

Holloway has looked good his last 3 fights vs Jose Aldo & Pettis, but Ortega is the young upcoming BJJ specialist had an impressively showing his last 2 fights vs Edgar & Cub Swanson.

Going to be a great fight, it's a tough call but I got Max by stoppage in the 5th. But to hedge my bet (lol) I could also see Ortega getting the submit in the 4th if he can get Holloway on the ground.

And with Valentina vs Joanna, I got Valentina winning by RNC. I like Joanna, she'll be fighting at a more natural weight at 125lbs but Valentina has already beat JJ twice in Muay Thai, she's just the better fighter. Would be shocked if JJ pulled it off.

Who yall got for both?

Max by TKO (I'm under the assumption he's completely healthy after that health scare). I think Ortega is average on the feet at best and if he can't get Max to the ground he's in a lot of trouble. Valentina by KO. Valentina is a killer and should be the 135lb champ in my opinion.

I got Ortega and Val on this one. I expect to see some good fights tho

Agreed Max looked ready at the weigh in, Ortega looked completely drained of energy.

I think Max has the advantage as long as the fight is standing up, he's got more power & is a better striker than Ortega.

Ortega's best bet is to somehow get'em on the ground & try to work the Triangle.
 
Wow ,Nelson split cowboys head wide open about as bloody a fight I've ever seen.
