Maybe someone can explain this to me. 20+ years ago, Butch Davis built one of the best teams ever but didn't coach them to a championship and Miami fans have been clamoring to bring him back for two decades. Ed Orgeron built one of the best teams ever just 21 months ago and coached them to a national championship, and Miami fans say he's garbage and shouldnt be in the conversation for the next HC. Why?

Many of the players were left from the Miles regime except Burrows who was a transfer and would have gone to Tennessee if Schiano had been hired there.He did have a hand in recruiting a few of them I guess but they were signed under Miles’ watch..

He did hire Brady though so he gets credit for that..
