Excuses for being undefeated and beating a rival by 13 at halftime? If that's what I have to "defend", I'm okay with that.

If you can pop a run there, great, if not, head into half. UF has basically adopted the same strategy FSU did against us last year: Make Miami grind it out, which will hold down the score, and speed up the game. It's a "We know we don't really stand a chance, but we aren't going to give you a chance to blow us out" concept.

That said, Brockermeyer is having an issue I've never seen before. Are we sure UF isn't doing something like simulating the snap? I've never seen a experienced center have this many snap infractions in one game, much less one half. The mental mistakes are the issue here. Miami needs to understand that if you merely execute, do your job, the score will take care of itself. Far too many mental mistakes, these aren't effort penalties for the most part.

I think a bunch of teams this year have been doing something to get false starts. I’ve watched a lot of college football this year and it seems every team has had a minimum of 5 false starts per game.

We'll have a successful outside run on first down then on 2nd down is either a run up the middle or penalty. Clean up the penalties and lets throw some more screens which have been working. I know Mario wants this exact game but in a game we're dominating we're only up 2 possessions when we should be up a minimum of 3 right now.
 
I don’t blame Mario or Beck for the final run play. The offense has been out of sync. Run the ball. Get into the locker room and figure it out..

Hopefully come out with a little more imagination and fire on offense.
 
Let's be real: UF isn't playing great on defense. Miami has 100 yards rushing. The UF DBs aren't the reason why Beck is 8/17. The UF defense isn't causing Brockermeyer to have the ******* Chuck Knoblauch yips.

Miami offense is shooting themselves in the foot. Miam is 5/9 on 3rd down for 56% clip. We actually better on 3rd down in this game than we are on the year so far.

UF defense didn't make Daniels drop a wide open pass, Bauman to start blocking in his route tree, or Beck spiking balls in the dirt.
 
I’d like to blame to rain/slickness of the field for the sloppy first half.

Same conditions as last week though 🤷‍♂️.

Offense will pick it up. Keep running the swings/screens and bring those safety’s up

The center is killing us. I have been watching football a long time. And I have NEVER seen a center do this. EVER

It’s not Carson Beck what Florida is doing is playing a shell defense, which is basically a bend, but don’t break defense. So they’re taking away all of the deep threats.

In this defense, you’re basically willing to give up five and 6 yards and you’re forcing the offense to go on 10 to 12 Play drives without making a mistake. As you can see, we were doing well until we got off scheduled with the stupid penalties.
