If they're serious, I'd try to get Chris Petersen back into coaching.

Foster was not ready to be a head coach. I understand why he took the job, but he needed to cut his teeth elswhere.

Never even been a coordinator.

Eight years as running backs coach - all but one at his alma mater.

Not sure there's ever been a coach at program like UCLA — as mediocre as the Bruins have been for most of the 21st century — hired with a thinner resumé.

As you indicated, it's certainly not Foster's fault for taking the job.

The blame — like almost all bad coaching hires — in on the school administrators and the boosters who greenlit the choice\\\

Notwithstanding the UVA embarrassment in the final game at the Orange Bowl, I would say Shannon did a considerably better job as the UM HC.

I'd say if context is applied, it's pretty similar. But I get what you're saying. There's a reason he's never got another HC job since. Was allot worse them just the on field results.

I do find humor in the Nico situation & love it when people fafo.

But it does make me a little sad that young men & there dumb *** handlers will continue to be short sighted & sometimes outright ignorant.

I wish current & future prospects would learn from these examples but I know they won't.

They made the move to the big ten and decided to hire the most inexperienced coach in the conference. Couple both those things with the Nico situation, they are an easy team to root against nationally, this was Bound to implode. This early is probably a huge surprise to their fan base though.
