UCF gave up 555 yards and 40 points. We gave up 296 yards and 33 points.

We also played them when they were healthy, they were missing 8 starters on defense today.

Oh, and we had Malik ******* Rosier at QB and Richt using his playbook from 1998.

Only in a deceiving box score; not if you watched the game. UCF was brutally pushed around the entire game.
UCF had 250 total yards on 61 plays for an average of 4 yards/play on offense.
Even with a written-on-a-napkin offensive playcall sheet, we actually outgained LSU for the game. Despite looking like garbage.
LSU had 555 yards of total offense on 86 plays for 6.5 yards/play on offense against UCF.
LSU had 296 yards of total offense on 65 plays for 4.5 yards/play on offense against Miami.
LSU was 9/18 on 3rd down conversion against UCF.
LSU was 3/16 on 3rd down conversion against Miami.
Miami had 2 turnovers and LSU had 0 in that game.
Both UCF and LSU had 2 turnovers each in today's game.
LSU possessed the ball for 44 of 60 minutes in today's game against UCF.

Context is everything. Forget the numbers; watching the game made it clear. UCF was well-coached and hung in, as they took advantage of situations to stay in the game. Helps they actually have a special teams unit, too.
 
Look, as Canes fans, we don't have much to say recently but, seriously, let their idiot fans and administration have their "national championship" from last year and their moral victory today. Call me in 25 years when they're relevant again.
 
I’m impressed that they put up 32 points with only possessing the ball for 16 minutes. I agree that they got pushed around. Their D Line look like midgets compare to LSU O Line.

Check the NCAA archives. They acknowledged UCF as co-champs last season, HATER!

Ehhh... the NCAA doesn't actually name a national champion. They only recognize teams that finish atop one of the dozens of polls. UCF did finish atop the Colley-Matrix poll in 2017 but if you look at the yearly list of teams recognized by the NCAA, you'll see that almost every year some random team finished atop some random poll and is hence recognized by the NCAA. For example: in 2002 Ohio State didn't finish atop every single poll. USC is actually recognized by the NCAA for finishing at the top of multiple polls that nobody cares about. USC doesn't claim a 2002 national title though since pretending you're the champ is *** as ****.
