UCF Fans want to investigate SEC

This furthers my point. There’s a lot of money to be made off that annual matchup. I sense a the big 3 are scared to schedule them. That would also be good for recruiting
Yea I think UCF needs to jump to a p5 first tho . Let’s see them make it thru a whole season of tougher competition, not just a bunch of practice games before a bowl game

This will probably all be mute in a few years. There is an ongoing lawsuit (Alston vs. NCAA) that would dramatically change college football and I'm surprised it's not getting more press. Observers are confident that the plaintiffs will prevail in this injunction and that will mark the beginning of semiprofessional football. A ruling should be coming soon. It's no coincidence that the judge presiding over this bench trial, Claudia Wilken, is the same judge that ruled in favor of the student-athletes in O'Bannon v. NCAA in 2014 resulting in a settlement of over $200 million. Here are a couple of links to what's going on.

Yes I watched the game. I question if you even know what you're looking at. You're not worried about stats because they don't support the story that you are trying to tell.
If you watch the game you can see see where the issues are regardless of stats. Stats don't tell a whole story but since that's the only thing you know, here's some stats for you. UCF averaged 268 ypg and 59% passing for the year with Milton averaging 266 ypg and 59%. Against LSU, in a close game, in a game where LSU was missing their dbs, UCF got 120 yards passing with a 38% completion percentage. Your comeback will be SEC, real competition, etc, but you'll ignore the fact this is not a fluke team who put it to Auburn last year in the bowl. I didn't ignore stats because they don't support the statement. I ignored stats because they aren't needed here and don't always tell a full story. If you watched the game, you know the ucf qb was not that good and was a significant dropoff from Milton. You also should know UCF is not going to have the depth of an LSU so while LSU lost dbs they have the talent and athleticism advantage to overcome that against a non P5 team missing their starting qb. You can't just overcome a stud QB.

We are seeing the last couple of years of CFB as we have known it....

UCF needs to talk their way into a Power 5 Conference. Being in the Group of 5 will never get them invited to the NC playoff. They need the playoff system to expand or they need an invite to a P5 conference. Suing is probably not going to endear then to any P5 conference. Kicking in the back door is not a likely invite to the Playoffs. Big 12 is their most likely chance.

UCF won’t jump to P5 until they expand the playoffs. Then it would be sweet justice to put them in the SECW and watch BAGA pound them every year. That would stop their whining.

Of course, Notre Dame would end up in our conference, so there’s that.

I think we end with 64 Premier Div teams divided into 4 regions.... with top 2 from each in the playoffs ...

All these lawsuits will level out the conferences

They’re doing it wrong. It’s not the SEC who needs to be investigated. It’s the NCAA. You don’t think the NCAA sees the 25 chargers these Bama players have? Of course they do. It’s why isn’t anything being done? NCAA is corrupt and honestly wouldn’t doubt if some money is being thrown their way.
Exactly they’re the new mob and the only difference you don’t pay they investigate

Goes back to the point , they’re getting every states top talent . So how is that 🤔 don’t say winning saban did that soon as he got the bama job

I'm convinced some of you have no idea how conferences work. You don't "jump" to a conference, you get invited to a conference because you bring something to the table.
What does UCF bring besides a few good years of football? And don't bring up the size of the school, that's irrelevant.

I know some of you like to joke about the ACC inviting Miami, but Miami has been very good for the ACC. There are really three teams that the conference can count on drawing interest as it pertains to TV etc. Clemson, Miami and FSU.

They have been trying... ***gators won't allow them in the SEC... similar to the time when we were Independent.
I remember those days, why does it have to be SEC, WV is in B12 which is far away from them, why not shoot for ACC maybe. Mack Brown kept TCU out of B12 for years because he didnt want to play em, they finally got in, and Patterson spanked a highly ranked Brown in his own house

UCF is trying to play the part of disrupter, it's in their interest to do so. More power to them.

Did you watch the game? Im not worried about stats. UCF was more physical than lsu in the first half before lsu lost a few players to targeting. Ucf also lost a starter to targeting. Backup dbs are marginally worse than their starter counterparts. Backup qbs are almost always a significant falloff.

You missed the entire point of the comp of those qbs. The point of comparison is Milton is one of the best qbs in college therefore he is not just a plug and play next man up situation. Their backup qb wasn't very good.

What??? LSU should/could have been up by 3 TDs in the 1h.

Can't disagree with you. One of the few areas where I'd welcome more intervention by the feds.

You can lay down straight facts and just cuz people don’t like it they act or maybe aren’t acting delusional

Even when the sec was trash overall last year it was still Bama and Georgia at 1 and 2

Just look at national championship winners snd appearances the last 20 years

I mean sure some years there’s a conference that’s better but overall who’s the best then? pls tell me

The big 10 next best but better? Y’all trippin

And really who cares i just want UF to win **** everybody else but facts are facts

People just so **** butthurt overs the sec in football it’s hilarious been that for a awhile

I believe UF might have sparked it in 06 tho haha after that run of SEC teams winning it all people got in their feelings

Exactly! The GOOD 'OL BOYS hated the fact that MIAMI was not only the face of college football but the face of SPORTS all together, therefore they set out to do something about, and as you can see they took OUR **** and gave it to Bama!
Did they force your hand in those hires after butch davis

Last years class is proof Miami can still get great classes you just had to look competent for a little bit 3/4 of the season

In that division of the acc it shouldn’t be so hard to do that y’all should win that **** every other year

If I remember right Va Tech is about the only other team that’s done anything ever

Correct. It's like in the NBA. The West has more playoff caliber teams. So every year they ask the NBA to consider making it Overall Best 16, instead of best 8 on each side. Makes sense but if your team isn't top 8 for one reason or the other you can't really complain. Donna Shalala wasn't interested in spending money on Football. Julio Frenk has been open minded and willing-er. UCF is great but not the overall level of their competition. Miami entered the ACC right when the rough times started. We weathered the storm and need to Develop Step by Step into a new Era of Excellence. UCF doesn't have the PEDIGREE. Miami Hurricanes had the most overall 1st Round draft picks in the early 2000s, the Gators Won Chips in Basketball and Football, then Florida State Had there Time. UCF went undefeated 2 years but the 3 teams I just mentioned were positioned to face the National Challengers. I Hate you if you dont Respect my "U". But Those Gator and Seminole teams Did this State Proud (and they have for years). UCF is not to be laughed at but the way they see themselves deserves a chuckle. Investigate the SEC. But every School And NCAA have Cobb Webbs so it makes it unlikely anyone wants people snooping around. It sure does seem UM gets investigated more than anyone. Football almost got the Death Penalty, Basketball Team not Cleared when it's clear there clean.

Think ncaa is too scared to investigate if bama Clemson and the rest are found cheating .have erase every win and championships.plus it cause congress to get involved them it's really get messed up.always happens when cheat people who received the improper benefits usually come back for more and when the door is closed they squeal aka Reggie Bush.

Something does need to be done now to investigate the $EC, the NCAA and schools like Clem$on that have players on banned substances and appear to follow the same exact formula as the $EC schools (which is no surprise since their coach was a WR and bag man for Alabaga. The game of CFB is still great but the Playoffs are becoming boring with the same schools (that benefit massively from all of the "extra benefits" and "juicing" they do) showing up in the MNC game every year. The larger schools in top P5 conferences have a huge built-in advantage without "extra benefits" and "juicing", the field is tipped way too far in their favor when those elements are also layered on. These schools need to be investigated.

It's also nauseating to watch that phony *** "nice guy" up there gushing about his corrupt program which probably:

  • Uses girls to have intercourse with recruits on visits
  • Encourages the use of banned substances (which has severe long term health consequences for the players)
  • Hand out bags to buy recruits (it makes me laugh when people say our coaches aren't good recruiters -- a huge part of that is that "bag schools" buy all the best recruits so our coaches sometimes don't stand a chance)
  • Other seedy things I don't have time to list

Things seriously need to change. It shouldn't only be schools like Miami and USC being investigated. We all need to take a stand on this on social media, with politicians, the press etc. It's time for change and to level the playing field!
