This is a response I got from Blake (or someone responding on Blake's behalf) when I asked why should I renew my season tickets next year and why should I continue to become a hurricane club member.
I appreciate your passion for our program. Like you and so many others I want to see our program back competing for national titles and in the talk of the best teams in the country. I think all of us, including Coach Golden would agree that we are not there right now.
As I have said before this is a process, not a flipping of the switch. I think it is important that we recognize where the program was at when Al arrived and what we have gone through since he has been here as we define the expectations going forward. It is also important to recognize as with so many things, that in building this program we are going to take many steps forward while at the same time occasionally taking a step back. I think we all could agree that going into the UVA game we had taken a number of positive steps this season, Saturday night was a step backward. With that said, I remain committed to providing our coaches and student athletes with the resources they need to compete to be the very best.
To answer your question on why you should renew your tickets next year….I would say it’s because you bleed orange and green and have a passion for this program and the young men who put on the U and go out and give it their all every single Saturday. That as we build this program back you will be able to remember what we went through and enjoy the accomplishment that much more. Finally, I would say you renew your tickets because you are part of something special, unlike any other program, a family that is passionate about its team that takes the tough years harder but enjoys the rewards all the greater.
Thanks again for your support in the past. I hope we can count on your support in the future.
Happy Thanksgiving. Go Canes!

I'm still trying to figure out how they have taken "many steps forward" when it's been the same crap every year. What we 'almost' beat FSU, so has half their schedule.
At least he or someone on his behalf responded.
