Play starters two quarters against Wagner. Then all the backups and walk ins get reps. Dominate UAB and then spend 10 days getting ready for the MSU game that can really give the team confidence if it goes up there and wins.

UAB is a well coached team. Don't be shocked if Miami finds a way to blow that game. Bill Clark will find a way to run circles around Diaz, and I don't know if Lashlee will have the O up and running at an optimal level by week 2.

Manny Diaz proved last season to be a terrible coach. We’re all hoping he’s learned enough to no longer be a terrible coach come next season. So far so good.

Interesting dilemma we’ve found our Canes in. When coming off anything more than 7 days we have not performed at all. It will be incumbent on Reed and Manny to keep the kids focus. Nothing like some hardcore Greenetree practice games to keep the focus sharp. UAB won 9 games last year and like FIU, they will play hard and physical football. I know there’s some who like these “tune-up games”, but I think they’re going to be tougher out of the gate as Lashlee fine tunes his offense. It will take big efforts from the defense to balance things out for W’s.

dude it is UAB. No excuse to even be close to them. If we are still struggling with the UAB’s of the world next year....manny won’t make it past October.

king should have this offense putting up 30pts a game. The defense should still be pretty good. No excuse not to beat UAB’s *** this year.
