U WR's from Matt Porter WPB

He may not be a world beater but Rosier knows he can chuck one up in crunch time and trust Langham to come down with it.

"Who has been the hardest receiver for the cornerbacks to cover this spring?"

“Lawrence Cager, when he’s on, when he’s that guy, Cager is pretty tough with his length,” Rumph said. “But [it’s] Jeff Thomas without a doubt. Just the speed aspect, something the ACC is not going to be used to seeing. I can’t wait to see the other corners try to run with him. He’s not just a fast guy; he’s doing things exactly right. The guy Jeff Thomas reminds me of is Santana moss, Roscoe Parrish. He understands how dynamic he is.”

Langham probably had 2 of our top 3 plays last year. Why he stopped being used altogether after coming up huge in the FSU & GT games made absolutely no sense IMO.

yes...

This only compounds the head scratching when you think we kept running fade throws/jump balls in the redzone to harley/thomas/berrios instead of Cager or Langham.... puzzling

That’s what I don’t want to see next year period

Just looked up Langham's stats and am SHOCKED to see that he had one catch for just two yards in our last 7 games. I don't remember him being that much of a non-factor after coming through in the clutch vs FSU and GT. Clearly, we are misusing him.

Ummmm - why are you shocked - guy creates never creates separation ... ever
- It is one thing to not add value when all of our stars were playing but when we needed him late ..nothing

You don't need much separation when you can outfight corners for the ball like he has done against FSU and GT. I'm not saying he needs to start, but think about it: one catch, two yards, SEVEN games. He's misused.

He had nowhere to go but down from those two catches. I don't think anyone thought that he would fall off the map like that, but instead hoped that was his coming out party.

Regardless, he owned those two poorly thrown balls and will forever have a place in our illustratious history.
