U-verse customers rejoice

Comcast had people going door to door in my neighborhood last week. Too bad that I wasn't home when they showed up. Could have told them Comcast is a piece of isht and they could stick XFinity up their ***. I feel bad for anyone who is still a customer of Comcast.

I canceled Uverse two weeks ago. F them I am saving money.
I canceled DTV. ***** paying $100 to those chumps.

Last time I was at Walmart, one of their “salesperson” that was a total ditz. She asked how I get my tv. I tell her I pirate every. With her daffy look on her face, she asked what piracy is, I told her that I get everything I want for free. Guess she didn’t have a rebuttal.

***** AT&T and that will be on my tombstone.

It was always going to happen this way. That's why I didn't panic a few weeks ago. AT&T is just like the car manufacturers during the '60s that had internal memos weighing how many deaths they would cause and lawsuits they would face via unsafe designs, while weighing that against cost of actually moving the fuel tank to prevent those deaths. This may be not be life and death but it's the same backroom ***** session strategy. They evaluated that dumping NFL Network in April was something they could fade. Yes, there would be screeching and forced price reductions to salvage some customers, but overall they could afford the number of departees.

This was entirely different since it's not a standalone. ESPN was wise to play hardball and to have the contract expiring during the heart of football season. AT&T eventually realized it could not buckle, not in the reality of how many instant cancellations it would bring, along with high profile negativity.

I hope others used this window to negotiate lower bills. There was never a greater opportunity. I tried a few weeks ago but as I've mentioned I already squeezed as low of a price as seemingly available. They didn't lower my rate but they did change my remote boxes to newer versions along with new gateway and DVR. I'll probably depart when my contract expires in March.

Meanwhile the streaming services need to get their act together regarding DVR. How can none of them be anywhere near the caliber of what Uverse offers? Give me the **** name of the channel and simple opportunity to record 2 weeks in advance. I won't want to see the **** graphics and logo of each network plastered in my face everywhere I look, along with stupid asterisks like can't record this and can't record that.

BTW, Sling has an AMEX offer of $10 off per month for up to 3 months, expiring in December. Not all American Express cards will have that among the offerings but many will. I have it. Excellent timing for anyone who wants a streaming service for football season before dumping it.
