It's unbelievable to think that we were once Pirates of CFB. Brash, bold, and unstoppable at all levels. Not only littered with great players, but a MENTALITY that was unique and different than anything CFB had ever seen.

That bravado, (real bravado that encompassed Overtown/Liberty/Carol City of the 80s) off the backdrop of race riots and instability gave our guys that special edge. We know what true greatnesslooks like. We have footage in the archives of what it once was.

Yet, that image has strapped fear into those who run things now in Gables. They purposefully eliminated every HC or in command coach that even potentially could have embodied what we once were. We are stuck with the insiders choices. Those with the connects and stick mentality that has represented us the past 19 years.

We are so far away from competing for a title. And it's truly not only because of the necessary resources, but rather a WANT/BELIEF in that we can by those in powerful. The lunatic arguments regarding who starts and who don't is repetitive and useless. Has been recycled for the last two decades almost. Anyone with eyes could see that Manny wasn't he answered after he couldn't hang swords in Mullen in that opener almost four years ago after he was let go by that coach. That was the same test Miami has failed basically the last two decades almost.

Those in control are sitting back and enjoying the fruits of their labor: A dead U.
