so why ask him to cover wrs? and why do all of our rush ends like a variety of moves. they all usually try to speed rush and get to the outside of the tackles leaving huge gaps for the qb to step up or run. you can tell after all these years there just isn't the coaching infrastructure to develop these kids. it's like our fan base has amnesia and choose a new player to blame every week. this week aqm rocked and then next week he will be hated for looking lost in this putrid defense.

some kids can do it some cant, you see other guys set the edge well here, but you also brought up something that i agree that we use him for other things that he just cant do why hes out there so much and being asked to do things he cant is beyond me, he should just be out there on passing downs and thats it
 
when the coaching staff bloats you up to 250 and puts you in position to cover slot recievers you arent going to be successful. same thing is going in with quan muhammad. He should end up getting drafted but may not because he will be doing the same thing

Every time I see Tyriq on the field he is making mistake after mistake. It wasn't just FSU it's been like this his whole career here. He is simply not a good football player and lacks football IQ.

THe one play that he was IN vs FSU was the biggest fck up I've ever seen.

The big run by Dalvin in the 4th.

No one is blocking Mccord. He is in perfect position to make a tackel for zero gain. INstead he runs into the lineman that is blocking NOrton and doesn't even attempt to do anything. He should never see the field after this.

THe next play, they run the same exact play but Grace is in. Grace whiffs on the tackle, then Jenkins is so far out of position Dalvin runs by him.

Tyriq should never be asked to play lb. He is a defensive end
 
I've seen many players in this system that have digressed as they've received more "experience" in this system. Who knew?

Right now we have AQM listed as a LB, McCord listed as a LB, Trent Harris rotates as a LB....these are all 4-3 DEs. Golden has constantly played players out of position.

Maddening, and it has been going on for years.

How can anyone believe that this coaching staff does everything right in terms of identifying talent, and everything wrong in terms of scheme and strategy? That defies probability to such degree it's hysterical. Mediocre minds err all over the board. They pursue the wrong assistant coaches and the wrong players, etc. Lousy instincts and priorities. Essentially they seek their own level. Naturally we have guys here and there who get picked high and succeed in the NFL. That's normal distribution, particularly given our recruiting base. But it's not what it should be. Not remotely close. Once we get an ultra sharp guy on the sideline -- assuming it happens -- the dynamic will naturally reverse, with astute decisions across the board.

It's normal distribution to have 7 drafted players on a 6 win team? Add two other guys (Gunter and Armbrister) who went undrafted, but made 53 man rosters. And, Armbrister made his first start this past weekend.

What else ya selling?

Aqm had bama and notre dame as his other top choices so either way he was going to be a 3-4 olb. Mccord doesn't have a position. He can't handle going up vs o-lineman all game in a 4-3 because he is too small and weak.

Mccord actually said he liked playing wilb because he can just tackle.

OP and anyone else blaming McCord for not being a beast is a major dumb@$$.

Kid is a 4-3 rush end all the way. He is definitely not being used in ways that would lead him to succeed. Just like Harris, Quan, etc..

All of these kids are QB destroyers, yet Alfalfa wants them to cover WRs and play patty cake with OL.

Folden sucks, bottom line. His team, his players, his scheme, his decision making.

When will you clowns finally point the finger at the CORCH instead of at the players that he has neutered.

Are you freakin kidding me? McCord would break Dalvin in half.

Use TM in the correct way and you'll see a beast out on that field.

It's hard to play to your potential when half the time you don't even know where to line up or what defense is being called until right before the opposing team snaps the ball.

He was our best all around DL last year at DE. I think he would have been the best DE on the roster this year if he had been allowed to play DE.
I agree with your observations that he has not played well this year. I think he is utterly unsuited for the LB position.
 
And I got called a slurper saying he should be benched because "it was all Goldens fault why he wasn't good". the kid stinks. The coaches are terrible but Some kids just don't pan out
 
I never thought McCord was as good as everyone made him out to be but he is ill suited to be playing SLB or covering the flats.
