Martin won’t see the field unless we’re up by 4TD’s and even them, Blissett or one of the other 2 Frosh could play instead. It’s ok, can’t nail every player we recruit, as long as it’s only 1-2 here or there. With the already mentioned 5-man rotation plus one of the Frosh contributing we’ll be able to keep our DT’s fresh for the duration of games and the season so that they can go all out each play they’re in on defense.

We've been much worse off, like '87 when Greg Mark had to move inside at 238 lb DT. We still won a NC that year. Greg was as tough as they come.

To be fair, Greg Mark was awesome and wouldn't consider that much worse off...he was a legitimate NFL prospect. League didn't know what to do with him. Don Shula made the dude lose a ton of weight to play linebacker. Giants played him at Nose Tackle. Then he was injured and it was a wrap. Too bad.

To clarify: we were worse off not because it was Greg Mark (he was awesome)--we were worse off because had so few players who could play in a rotation. Much fewer than we had today.

Jason Blissett

One out of those 3 Frosh DT's will not be redshirted & will get situational rotation snaps guaranteed.

We have more than enough depth at DT, anybody panicking over DT is just looking for a reason to be trippin lol.

Unless one Frosh comes in leaps ahead of the others, I'd rather spread the spot duty among all 3 of them to keep them under 4 games each.

One of the biggest travesties last year on the DL was play Nesta a 5th game.

I nearly always agree with shirting if possible. But Nesta isn’t staying for five years no matter what. Playing him gave him the experience he needed to fight for a starting spot this season.
