2028 Tyree Mannings Jr 4* WR from Venice, FL (Venice HS)

High wide receiver Tyree Mannings, things could progress quickly there. Mannings is a cousin of Miami freshman defensive lineman Asharri Charles, who is actively recruiting him to Coral Gables. Mannings visited Miami early in the spring and is looking to return for at least one game this fall.

Didn’t even know he was Charles cuzzo when i quoted you in the Isaac thread lol. Feels like the ‘28 WR class (not just Miami’s but nationally speaking) could progress quickly

“It’s meant a lot to be able to play with and be coached by my cousins,” Mannings Jr. said. “It’s just been great. Me and Asharri really came from nothing, so it’s cool to see us both balling on the field.”

Alongside him during that time was Asharri Charles, who is now Venice’s best defensive player, and a Miami commit.

The tandem played together and became close due to the family connection with Venice wide receivers coach Amarri Jackson. A cousin of Mannings Jr., Jackson played at Riverview High before stints with the University of South Florida, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also played in the CFL, and in the Arena Football League.

There haven’t been any off games for Mannings Jr. this year. The sophomore has averaged eight catches for 125 yards and a touchdown through eight contests played. The only game he missed — the season opener against Tampa Bay Tech — was by far Venice’s worst offensive showing this season.

Coming off an impressive freshman season at Booker (35 catches, 838 receiving yards, seven touchdowns), Mannings Jr. has elevated his game against even stronger competition.

Against some of the best teams in the state — Riverview, Clearwater Central Catholic, The First Academy and IMG Academy — Mannings Jr. combined for 35 grabs, 499 yards and three TDs.

Against IMG, he had a season-high 14 catches. Against Riverview, he finished with 192 receiving yards. Oh, and against CCC, Mannings Jr. lined up in the backfield and carried the ball seven times for 70 yards.
