Former Canes WR has informed me that he has transferred to Marshall. Best of luck to him. Things didn't work out here, but he is extremely talented.

Too bad, he may have never been a starter here, but would've been a contributor. He could've had a good amount of playing time next year. Good luck to him.

Good luck to the kid. I wish he had stuck it out and not gotten into trouble in the end. Even with the 3 talented WR FR (assuming Mullins makes it in) and the transfer, Brady would have either been a starter or seen significant game time this season with the Canes.

Can anyone shed any light on this? We spend so much time talking about how kids look on film, why didn't he work out? Did Richt want a different type of guy, did he not have the talent or the attitude? Same thing as Choc, kid doesn't see the field, and I wonder why (I realize Choc may have a fumbling problem, but when it looked like he wouldn't make it in people acted like he was the second coming). That's not to say I don't trust the staff, I just wonder what they see that tells them they don't want this kid on the field.

It wasn't talent, it was attitude. He was in the doghouse under two different staffs.

I don't think he would have ever started or even gotten significant playing time here.

Why not? He was playing a lot last year before his issues

He played quite a bit in 2015. Had some drops, but the talent was there. Just needed to sure up his hands and he'd been a weapon for us this year. Wish him the best.

Marshall has like 25 Florida kids on their roster. It's understandable though. One of the finest academic institutions in the land combined WITH an unparalleled location and cultural mecca in beautiful Martinsburg, West Virginia. I'm just surprised their athletic programs can enjoy any success with those insane admissions standards...

Marshall is essentially a prep/Juco within a 4 year program. Not a bad approach, tbh, considering how the public schools and communities have failed these kids, especially so Florida. Kudos for them for figuring out how to sign and develop kids that might drop out of the system entirely.

My thoughts:

Tyre comes from a troubled past. Has bounced around homes, had issues in the classroom in high school, but Miami took a chance on him and he bounced back to qualify. James Coley had his eye on him since about freshman year of high school and I don't think he would have been a Cane if not for him. Brad thought he was probably the most talented receiver on the roster the last couple years, but he struggled with consistently. Coley leaving put the nail in the coffin for him. I hope he does well at Marshall because he is really not a bad kid.
