Thats a good thing for the progrum. There will almost always be turnover on rosters in today’s college football landscape. Especially at the QB position, if Garcia transfers because he can’t wait another year so be it. Recruit more talent & develop it. It’s infuriating to see people almost hedging success of a starter because they are afraid a bench player will transfer. I understand backup QB is important, but dang.

Fwiw. Garcia’s father spoke to Ferman/Shodell about two weeks ago. Said he is absolutely sticking around and will work to compete in spring.

He’s a Reggie Wayne clone. Not big, not particularly fast but always open and always catching the ball.

He’s got more wiggle then Wayne. He is our best punt returner since Barrios. He might be the most natural at catching a punt since Hester. And then when he gets going he is slick. Looking for him house one next week.

He just isn’t that stop and go jitterbug type that normally returns punts. He doesn’t go from 0-top speed as quick as some. What he does do really well is shift and change direction without having to slow down a lot. I’ve been watching him since his sophomore year at Plantation. He’s the type that plays faster than his 40 time because there’s no wasted motion. Plus he has a knack for finding open spots and working DBs. Only Restrepo has better hand than him on the roster.

A great hire at HC is critical for us... for certain, Clemson and Bama ...maybe even USC (Cali roots) will be hounding Garcia this offseason.

Dude is legit and there’s talent in waves on offense. But did anyone catch those crisp *** routes Jacoby was running out there. I mean not wasted moment out his cuts. Maybe the best of the freshmen receivers.
