Corn ain't going no where

Corn is considered a top nickel prospect, there's no reason for him stay

Corn and Artie should stay and try to push for the first round next year. Neither of them are in the top 32 picks this year. They are not in the same group as these names selected in the first round last year (below).

And 24 of the 84 underclassmen that declared last year went undrafted. Not saying they will go undrafted, but it is riskier than people think.

Nelson Agholor - WR Southern California - Philadelphia
Arik Armstead - DE Oregon - San Francisco
Malcom Brown - DT Texas - New England
Amari Cooper - WR Alabama - Oakland
Ereck Flowers - T Miami - New York Giants
Dante Fowler - DE Florida - Jacksonville
Melvin Gordon - RB Wisconsin - San Diego
Todd Gurley - RB Georgia - St. Louis
D.J. Humphries - T Florida - Arizona
Marcus Mariota - QB Oregon - Tennessee
Andrus Peat - T Stanford - New Orleans Saints
Breshad Perriman - WR Central Florida - Baltimore
Marcus Peters - DB Washington - Kansas City
Shane Ray - DE Missouri - Denver
Shaq Thompson - LB Washington - Carolina
Trae Waynes - DB Michigan State - Minnesota
Leonard Williams - DE Southern California - New York Jets
Jameis Winston - QB Florida State - Tampa Bay

You leave if you're projected to go in the top-3 rounds. Why gamble on another season where you could end up injured?

As a fan I hope he stays.

I wouldn't leave if I was "projected" to go in round 3. Downside risk is way too high. I'm pretty sure that Corn won't go in the first 3 rounds. Artie is probably a 2nd rounder at best now. Those that think otherwise are giving hometown bias.

Burns is likely leaving though. You wouldn't leave as a projected top 3 round draft pick, but you are also not a football player and being offered an opportunity at the NFL. I'll bet you money Burns leaves early

You're right, I'm not a football player. But I do have a good business sense and I watch a lot of football. I've seen a lot of early entrants flame out because they are not ready and don't get the time they need to develop.

And you have also seen kids stay an extra year and their draft stock gets worse, its a risk

We won't know until it happens.

It's funny to me tho, last season people on this board were bashing Burns like crazy (I'm sure I could dig up a lot of threads). Now everyone seems to think he's a first or second round pick. Anyway, I've been a fan of his since he joined the Canes, I hope he has nothing but success.

I was one of them not because of his skill set, he was raw coming out of high school so i gave him a pass, he made a lot of errors last year still does but he has improved every year, i used to knock on him for his ball skills now hes making picks, still needs to be consistent, he always has that WTF was he doing play, ive been impressed with him this year, he has NFL talent so im pretty sure hes gone

Corn has yo stay because yes he could ho third round but that's at best as a nickel. Get bigger and stronger then show u can play boundary and you can go high. Artie is gone no doubt

I'll have to watch the highlights but I'm certain that last TD was on Byrd....there was a bunch of plays where he had him beat and the QB didn't look his way.

You shouldn't leave early unless you are definitely a projected top 2 round guy. Too often juniors are declaring early and not even getting drafted, or falling really far. Projected to get drafted in round 3 means its very easy to fall to round 5 or 6. If you're a projected 1st round pick then sure you leave because at worst you'll likely be a 3rd. 2nd rounder is probably worth the risk, but a 3rd just isn't.
