Congrats, I'll stick to what I said last year, top three corner in the nation along with Mullen and and Warner from the west coast. Knott and Singleton two uncommitted corners I would like to see us go after as well. This is not really a deep DB like 2017 thats why I think adding Mullen should be a priority and would give us the best DB class this year if we keep Jackson and Byrd which will be a fight to the end.
The 3 "must keep" kids in this class, IMO, are Byrd, Allison and Bruce.
Congrats to Byrd again, has one of the best long jumps in the nation jumping a 23' 8.
Mentioned before. This is not the first time he's an All-American. Byrd was the first two time youth-all American in history as a 7th and 8th grader. Athletic is an understatement. He's freakish. One of the top kids we have committed in the class and at a very thin and important position in the future at CB.
He always played DB, he wasn't even a receiver in pop Warner, he was a pretty good running backThis. He's easily the most athletic and pivotal piece in this class on defense. Can actually be an amazing WR too, but it's interesting Naples got him to play DB (probably because they are run first). Most important recruit in this class and by far most athletic, I say that knowing how freakish Sam Bruce is. For context, Bryd is a year older.

- On his number 1 recruiting target; “My number one concern is trying to get Carlin Fils-Aime to the ‘U’ right now,” Byrd said. “He kind of put me on to Miami and obviously then I ended up switching. Now he’s still weighing out his options and he picked out a couple schools. He won’t tell me which ones but we’ll see because I think he’ll commit somewhere over the summer.
- States how he and Fils-Aime live together and are essential brothers
- On his recruitment; “I really don’t show much interest in other places so nobody kept contacting me on a regular basis,” Byrd said. “My head coach tells people my recruiting isn’t open anymore. I’m set with Miami and I don’t expect to be visiting any other schools.”
- Says that the 2015 draft made his commitment stronger seeing players getting drafted in the 1st round.
Yeah they realized even if you go 6-7 they can still get drafted if they are good enough. That draft was huge for us.new 247 article

The draft is more important than winning to most of these kids. That will help a lot with keeping this class and landing a few more studs.

I guess u forgot about the 2 best CB's in the nation Savion Smith and Levonte Taylor. Byrd and Mullens are good, but watch the film on Smith and Taylor. That is why they are ranked higher and deservedly so.
