A friend of mine is in the local high school coaching circuit here in Collier County. He passed on some info when just shooting the sh*t about Miami. We both are Naples High alum(same as Byrd). We have some friends who are still involved with teaching/coaching there.
The word is that Byrd is still very much interested in Tennessee. Byrd is a big fan of Coach Larry Scott and really was hoping he stayed Miami.[edited] That combined with teammate Carlin Fils Aime being committed to UT are obvious draws. My contact actually thinks Byrd flips to UT. I personally think he stays, but he is my favorite recruit for homer reasons, and my contact would really know better than me, as he is around the players. I wouldn't share this if I thought this wasn't solid info. I recieved this info before the recent visits by CMR and Rumph, so hopefully that sealed things up.

Troll? Richt offered Scott a position and he chose to leave.

Your wording makes it seem Miami let him go which isn't true
 
I don't see that he has a visit lined up. Plus Scott wouldn't be coaching him so other than the relationship aspect that shouldn't have a huge impact. I think he sticks with us. He has a big future at the U and his family can see it unfold in person
 
Scott was OFFERED a position on this staff, Scott CHOSE to go elsewhere... Not Richts fault.
If he wants to go follow him then there is absolutely nothing Richt could do about it. It would suck
 
Said after Richt's in home he wasn't going on anymore visits and was solid to Miami.
 
Troll this d!ck. Just passing on legit info from someone close to the situation. I agree with the analysis though. Scott is not his position coach and don't see any visits lined up. Like I said, I expect him to stay with Miami. Just something to keep an eye on is all.

Maybe check with your boy and see what he says after the Miami visit?
 
Once, just once, I wish people would look at a post like this from a guy with two total posts and not even respond. It would be so satisfying to see 0 replies, but, alas, I don't think people can help themselves.
 
We had some nasty weather last night. Tornados all over. Anyone have storm damage. Didn't feel like cooking a big breakfast so I just had a bowl of cereal.

Anything can happen in recruiting... but I would be shocked... The first thing he said to me about choosing Miami was being close to his family... He did say Fils Aime loves Tenn but I don't see him flipping.
 
Some of you are insane with these message boards. If you are a loser enough to completely just make things up just to mess with people then you have way too much time on yours hands. Again, just passing on what I heard. I want Byrd at UM as much as anyone. No troll here. This was my first post on THIS site. Sorry everything isn't rainbows. If someone that went to high school with coaches or teachers of say Sam Bruce, and heard a rumor like this, I would want to read about it. Take it for what it is, but its no troll job.
