Tyler Byrd Highlights @ Army All American Game

Kid is a stud and we are lucky to have him as part of this class. Will provide immediate help at the thing DB position this year

One of the recruiting sites had him as the #1 ath during the summer at one point if not mistaken. Which one was that if anyone remembers?

Most college offenses these days run 3 wides the majority of the game with 4 wides call it 15% of offensive plays. Byrd starting over Redwine is ridiculous as both will need to start alongside Elder...

Kid is a beast and a ball hawk. He has a knack for ball timing and seeing it in the WR's body/eyes.

After watching his highlights i feel Tyler is a better person than he is a football player...and he is an amazing football player....And then you meet his parents you know why....Dude wants to be a neonatal nurse..cause he loves kids and wants to help.he went on to say its a great way to give back.... i was like that doesn't describe a football killer instinct...but when i asked him how in the **** he can get so many kills in 1 round of Call of Duty...he said that he don't want anybody to be better than him at anyrhing... I saw that on the field...Dude will be one of the great ones at UM

I trust your judgement, but that is one tall order. That kid has great Cane written all over him. He screwed up after blocking that field goal by starting celebration while ball was on ground, BUT then saw ball and scoop and score Ed Reed style. That pick showed excellent ball location skills that after 3 years Artie was just starting to developed. With aggressive Dline play, this kid and your boy have chance to live in and be a part of the second rebirth of Hurricane football. This is starting to get very exciting.

Love how after his arm handed int he goes looking for his boy Shaq. LOL took him awhile to find him he kept scanning the field for him

I asked why he hesitated...he told me because 7nder HS rule couldn't return it but then remembered for the Army Game the rules were different

There are 42 CBs better than him???

This is it. He must've blocked 8-10 extra points this year and in Florida the ball is dead on an extra point, there can't be a return.

He doesn't want anyone to better than him, that's ole school cane **** right there. Why guys were afraid to get hurt because their back-ups would take the job and never give it back. This kid is going to be a difference maker early in his career.

That is great. Quick thinking and recovery from error. Now I like him even more. I noticed he blew up a bubble screen also -- 5 years and Al couldn't figure out how to do that. Keep the hook in this kid for us.

Exactly.

Not surprising the commentary was about stopping for posterity, but he clearly thought the play was ruled dead after the block.

UM

His positioning/instinct on that interception was incredible. Turned his head at the right moment and put himself between the ball and the receiver.

Looks like a true freshman starter - "Next Up" has never been more appropriate, even if Redwine is ready.
