4-star RB Ty Keys​

Miami is leading the way for 4-star RB Ty Keys, the positional MVP at the UA Next Camp in New Orleans. The Hurricanes are battling Ole Miss and also Florida State at the top for the nation’s No. 8 RB, who will arrive in Tallahassee on Sunday for a multi-day visit.

Miami has pressed all the right buttons so far with Keys. “They’re at the top of my list. Coach (Mario) Cristobal is a good coach and he’s gonna have a good OL. He tells me what I need to hear. I know he’ll work me hard. He coached under (Nick) Saban and I want that hard work. It’s a challenge, that’s what I need.”

Totally fine. If we get both Myson and Kimble running behind our O Line that adds Matthews and Tatum this class, we are freaking Dynastic! The only RB it seems like we wont get who I was sad about missing on is DGG, the Haitian Canadian absolute beast. But Myson and Kimble would still be a super elite backfield haul.

“I am really liking Miami a lot right now,” Keys told Rivals. “They are definitely on top. I was at Miami for a game during the season and I loved it. They have been on me hard and I have liked them for a while.”

The relationships with the staff in Coral Gables have been key.

“We talk every day. Coach Mario Cristobal is a coach who tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Miami always has a great offensive line too, and that is great for a running back. Coach Favian Upshaw is cool too and we have been talking more since he got there.”

Keys plans to return to Miami in early April.

He may be behind MJC…He's not a "big back" but he certainly isn't a small back either already at 6'1 200 or so (and his frame can definitely carry more). I get the sense Keys is high on our board, but would they take both him and MJC?

Just saying, they may want more contrasting styles with the two backs this year. Keys is one of the backs that I would put in the middle category, but they may want more of a home run guy there?

Categorizing the backs on the board by size, not including the DGG/K.Spell who we would obviously take in a heartbeat (some of the kids can obviously grow). I put an *near the ones that I feel POSITIVE could commit to UM right now (obviously I could be 100% wrong)

Mid-sized (and mostly "mid style" some are more power, some have the extra gear, others average speed)
