Ty Simpson Injury - Baga hiding something?

The committee can only consider injuries if they can actually measure it - how the team looked with and without the player. If he got hurt against Georgia, they can’t project how they’d look with a backup, so they can’t use it against them. That's my undersstanding, and I'm sure that's exactly waht they would have used to justify keeping them in.

They got destroyed and didn't move a spot, and the good reason was to judge ND and Miami H2H. I think that's a load of **** - they could have compared ND and Miami H2H regardless of where they put bama, and Miami could hvae been justified at 9 no different than 10.

I think they left bama at 9 b/c it increases the odds of four SEC teams in the quarters. Setting up a first round with Miami vs AnM instead of Miami vs OK boosts those chances.

If you apply "FSU rule" AS THEY SHOULD...

- Bama probably out
- Ole Miss absolutely out
- Indiana out now?
But IU won the BIG 10 Championship. I would get dropping them but you can’t drop a champion.

Simpson seems off. He missed a ton of throws. By a lot. The one that comes to mind is that 4th down he wasn’t even close on that out pattern. Seemed like he couldn’t drive the ball. I’m not saying he should’ve completed it. But he was off by close to 10 feet.

If it had come out prior to Selection Sunday that Bama had been hiding this injury, the Committee might have had an excuse to toss Bama, much as they would not have wanted to, NOT because of the injury itself, but because Bama had tried to deceive the Committee.

It's conceivable they could still take action, but since ND's leadership have acted ignobly, to put it mildly, since Selection Sunday, Bama is safe.
You don’t punish a school for an injury. That’s crazy. Ohio State won a chip with a backup
