Two SMU staffers joining Lashlee

If the OL coach can teach our OL the skills needed to run the offense as Lashlee sees fit and has them working as they should.

Great.

If not it’s going to be a looooong season.

I'll try and give the benefit of the doubt since we don't know who we are even talking about, but...

"one of them has experience coaching the offensive line" doesn't exactly blow me away since that could quite possibly apply to anybody, including Butch Barry.

I want Lashlee to have his guy, but I desperately don't want it to be similar to Diaz's "guy" in Blake...where we are learning more on the job at key assistant positions. Bad enough we have that at head coach.

Maybe it's the pessimistic side of me, but I think we're coming back with pretty much everyone in place other than Enos. At the beginning of the week Diaz made those comments about going up tempo and getting the ball to our guys in space. In that same article, Diaz was also quoted as saying that we already had some good coaches on staff but he'd look at the proper fit going forward. A couple of days later news starts to leak about Lashlee. No doubt in my mind when he made those comments he had already had those discussions with Lashlee. Man at this point I'm just looking forward to 2021. I have no expectations for 2020.

I think he's speaking about Hickson and Fields about the good coaches on staff

**** I hope he is, but we shall see. There's already talk about Lashlee being this awesome recruiter which I can see people using to justify retaining Stubbs. Again, maybe I'm just being pessimistic but time will tell.

You don’t hire an OC and saddle him with the old guy’s buddies.

Everyone will be gone except Field.

My optimism will blot out your pessimism, old buddy. No way in **** Barry and Stubblefaqqit are coming back.
 
We are #TNM....... we ARE fugged and will never be back. Doesn't matter what the window dressing is when the house should be condemned

I do not see Barry back and this new offensive line scheme is nothing like he is used to ever coaching.
