Two LSU QB's considering leaving team

Gotta love the good ol sheep rhetoric that every tough guy poster likes to throw out.

Genius, we all see that Richt is trying to manage the young backups so they all stick around. He’s also legit giving them opportunities to compete.

Just came across this-2005-2018

13 classes
20 QBs
4 completed career at LSU
14 dismissed/departed/switched pos
9 never played a single down

So once we knock out Burrows does their 5th string WR get the nod at QB?

I’ll make this simple. Fact or fiction, we have a mostly green coaching staff?

Fact or fiction, when the backup is named we will lose at least one qb?

Who are their other qb options Myles Brennan? who was the backup and probably woulda been the starter if Burrow didn’t show up.

1. Fiction -- this is a discussion of offensive staff:
  • OC - Richt - Experienced
  • RB - Brown - Experienced
  • WR - Dugans - Experienced
  • OL - Searels - Experienced
  • TE - Hartley - Experienced
  • QB - Richt Jr. - Green
Not sure what the experience of the coaching staff has to do with this thread, but the offensive coaching staff (which is what would be relevant to a conversation about offense is experienced. Yes, Richt Jr. is green. But, he's obviously coaching with training wheels while his father has a huge hand in the QB coaching, as well.

2. Fact -- It is likely that one of the 3 young QBs will transfer. I am of the belief that we should take a QB this cycle.

You seem to just have a couple issues with the staff and are trying to bring them up into any conversation possible. Just seems weird. No need to try to get high and mighty and start throwing out the "sheep, you're all sheep" rhetoric to get your point across. People are allowed to discuss things without it meaning that they wholly disagree with you. Take a deep breath and have a discussion.

So Hartley is experienced ? Has he ever coached special teams? Do our special teams look good to you?
And the guy out picking our qbs is the one in question in this instance. You acknowledged he was green. Does it make since to have the greenest coach on the offensive staff picking who to recruit for the most important position on the field?

And when I said green I wasn’t just talking about this situation. I was talking about the coaching staff as whole being defended as if they can do no wrong and are infallible.

They only have two qb's on scholarship and two walk ons now. Narcisse and McMillan left this week.

McMilan hasn't left yet, from what I know. Narcisse is officially gone, McMilan is reportedly leaning towards bolting.

WHOOPS....2 mins ago he announced he was gone. They're officially down to 2 scholarship QBs.

Redshirt Junior/grad transfer Joe Burrow, who will almost certainly start.
And Myles Brennan, true sophomore who went 14-24 for 182 yards, 1TD and 2 INTs last year in 6 games as an obvious backup. He was the #6 Pro-Style passer on the composite in the class of 2017.

Their fans are now hoping for Jalen Hurts to transfer in. Either way not a good position for them to be in.

I do not think this coaching staff is infallible. You have some strange beef with the coaching staff and are trying to infuse it into every discussion on Canes football.

Not really interested

“Please argue with me about coaches!!!”

Lol I just read it this morning

Imagine if Burrow or their backup gets hurt before the Miami game. I’m banking on the d knocking someone out of the game.

What sucks for LSU is that ideally, they probably wanted to redshirt Brennan this year to create 2 years separation between him and Burrow. If Brennan doesn't win the starting job, why would he stay? He has to be the backup, which means he has to play. Which means at best he gets one year of starting when Burrow is done. I wouldn't stay for that kind of razor thin margin.
LSU is in a tough spot.
