thing is if they put a decent product on the field or the court we would fill up the stadiums or the arenas and not only would you have more money flowing from ticket sales and apparel sales etc. you would have additional people willing to donate to keep that product competitive above and beyond the few large donors we already have

just think if you could put an extra 25,000 fans in the stands for football and had just 10,000 of those fans willing to donate just 100 bucks to the program and figuring the 25,000 extra fans spent 100 bucks per game for tickets , food, beer etc you're talking about 3-5 million dollars extra a year and that's basing things on minimal numbers.

Add in the boosters that already donate that will add an extra 10% to their donations that they already give and you're talking 5-10 million dollars just by putting a decent product out there And your not even including extra money that would come from basketball or baseball because those teams were decent.

NOBODY wants to continually give to a program that is ****** every year and that's ANYWHERE not just Miami.

Fix the product and the money will flow.

because Manny is too busy trying to be their friends as opposed to having a practice that may make them actually sweat and get better.

You have some kids that WANT to be pushed to be better but when they are caught up in the wash of other kids that are just happy to get by no one is going to win.That's why we have so many kids that regress when they get here...jmo

One thing they fail miserably at is creating relationships and making local guys feel like they're a part of The U.
I spoke about the experience I had with Manny versus the experience I had with Heupel's staff and I got accused of "needing attention".
But it's not just me. Local HS media guys have the same experience with Miami's staff. Guys who actually have knowledge of countless prospects and even a little pull down here. Guys like The Crib Media, Gold Feet, The Sack Sensei, etc. They will all tell you how poorly Miami communicates and how Manny tries to "big time" everybody. (like he's above communicating with them) This has been my experience with Miami as well as many other local guys.

There's so much more I can say but I'd rather not.
The whole operation is amateur hour, from play-calling to resources to recruiting to relationships.
But this is what happens when your HC and most of your support staff come from high school or garbage universities. (this doesn't apply to some of the new staff obviously)

So Miami is going to now throw money at a situation that can’t be fixed by just throwing money at it. That’s about right

Absolutely.

If I could choose one area for the program to invest, it would be an NFL level scouting AND recruiting department.

Since we’re not getting the can’t miss 5* anymore, let’s figure out who has the mentality to create the culture we need, and go for them, instead of the guys who accept mediocrity. While we’re at it, Let’s identify the under the radar dudes that Miami never recruits, yet end up day1 draft picks for Louisville or whoever.

I’ll give credit where it’s due tho.. these last 2 classes seem to be high character kids.
 
I sure wish the admin, BOT, and even the coaches would hear what AR had to say (not that they would give a **** either way).

There is a budget for a few Coach Machos representing the local scene. I know if I was a head coach at the U, I would have a few minutes a week to connect with Macho and pick his brain, talk local, and put him to work. Enough with the amateur hour ****. Somebody here, get this done.

Hey, you're preaching to the choir on that score, but the university doesn't seem to see it that way. For whatever reason, they've chosen not to make the up-front investment in football. I'm just pointing out that they would have to have a significant change of heart.

How much can we pay u to keep talking? Macho go fund me! I love hearing confirmation of the amateur hour that is running the ship, but the slurpers still clinging to Mandingo saving his job also need to hear why he needs to go (cause for some reason they are blind to it watching the games)

He probably grad transferred to get an extra year and raise his stock

You don’t get an extra year by grad transferring. You can just play immediately without sitting out a year.

fair point. My issue with Cager is he was all talk. Never accepted any responsibility for having stone hands. He had 2 good games for UGA at a time they were very thin at WR. He needed to step up and he did. Then he got hurt and never played.
