Twitter space discussion

Is the audio for this archived anywhere? Or was it just a live steam that disappeared after it was done?
I believe it was just a stream. There is a UM Twitter space about every night.. it’s usually just fans but current and former players are on occasionally along with different media members. Lemonis was listening last nite for a while as we’re a few players. They’re very informal and anybody can listen or speak.

This is what I wrote in another thread. The arms race is not head coach salaries, it is support staff.
Rick Neuheisel was recently complaining about the UM headset penalty stating that the NCAA cares about that but not the 10 analysts Bama has on staff who do nothing but review recruiting film. It was odd to hear him stick up for UM but it was more about how screwed up the NCAA priorities are.
Is this why we can't tackle?

I don’t think Miami needs to spend like bama or uga. They don’t need to sell facilities, Thats not why players come here. They do need to invest in better coaching and support staff… but that won’t make a difference without a change in culture… which doesn’t cost anything.
Oh I wasn't even talking about facilities. I mean those schools are spending more on staff than we ever will. Not just coaches, but all that support staff. Until yesterday, I hadn't even thought about all the people that help a coach by doing the boring stuff. I'm just saying, there keep being other levels to their spending that I wasn't even aware of.

Pretty sure Ahmmon wasn't around when Feeley came in. He has no personal experience with him.

As for Cager, who cares what he says. His career with in the NFL is paralleling his college career.... nothing happening.
Caged has the physical tools but talent couldn’t cash the check. Had good games for us and good games for UGA (ND in particular). I don’t think we can throw the baby out with the bath water. These are empirical data points out program needs. This is the investment in infrastructure that @Cribby has alluded to in the past. We don’t need to be bloated from a headcount perspective but we do need to be intelligent. I hope a new AD (who knows what it takes to build elite programs) and a head coach with a vision can execute with more $$$$ at their disposal.

So be it.

Besides, have u seems the injury list lately? Injuries happen no matter what.
I’m saying the lack of physicality in practice leads to players being unprepared to tackle and hit in games so they don’t deal with it well. And this can lead to injuries. We don’t practice real world tackling drills that are controlled and safe but still physical. Hence our tackling issues.

I misunderstood! 100% dead on

I put this in another thread… guess it belongs here:

Dj didn’t say much. Ahmmon was on fire. Anyone wanting to give many another year needs to know what he says:

- practices too easy
- No competition in practices (1s vs 1s)
- Acceptance of mediocrity
- Don’t demand perfection/excellence
- S&C isn’t good enough
- Coaches slow ID talent, slow to trust players
- ****** play calling
- Not nearly enough staff, coaches waste time with BS
- Players don’t do extra work
- Players cheat on their reps
- No player leadership so young guys pick up bad habits
- Losing is OK

He talked about Cager going to UGA and being shocked at the culture, which was everywhere from the AD down to the janitor. Players ALL put in extra work. Anybody who didn’t was ostracized. At Miami, nobody did. He said the 2 schools operated on different levels in every single way, and Miami wasn’t even close.

He talked about the amateurish nature of our program… when he was on crutches, he had to hobble around the campus w no help. Any serious school would’ve taken care of him. Talked about other programs having staff to help the position coaches w bull****, but Miami coaches have to do it themselves which takes away from game planning etc.

His solution was to blow the whole thing up, fire coaches and AD and build something competitive. This was an elite recent player, talking openly about the state of the program.

Thing is… most of this shlt doesn’t cost a single dime. And still not being done
Very interesting... from my days as a student I remember an injured Frank gore crutching past the LC, through the Comm School and over to Doctors Hospital every day.

Been saying this for a while, the Dade guys we end up with are often still available for a reason - better programs are better judges of talent, identify the flaws and look at coachability. YA decade ago we had seven players from one Miami school who had all been in a behavioral unit in HS. You bring those type guys in, you better have some structure and a culture with team leaders and accountability, otherwise those kids will never develop. A couple ended up being pretty good players, most didn't succeed. Classes roll into a "do-the-minimum" culture yet still get to strut the brand, and you get decades of slacking off, underachievement and a culture that will take years to fix. Its embarrassing to hear over and over how Miami has better talent than the team waxing us.

For our players to be great, its gonna take them doing alot more extra work. Work they will never get with the allotted time with the staff. All the same, the culture, the hunger. The accountability starts from the top. The AD to the HC, the HC to the assistants and to the players. That's the main missing ingredient. School line Tennessee have all those nice things and are trash. We need the players working themselves into the ground outside of organized practice.

Ain’t nuttin wrong with a lil fried food. Fried possom tenders a natural testosterone booster. Even Tom Brady has a cheat day ever once inn a while.
Fried food…. Iz they any udder kine? Deez mambie pampie peepul alwaze crien bout da rong stuf! Foozball plaerz nede too eat lots a fat an grisle like postum tail an gator gizard an coyote innerds. Everibodie no dat.

Interesting takes from former players. Ill file it next to , ‘ no matter what , the U must always have a pro style O to keep the NFL pipeline,’ and ‘ Promote Larry Coker so there is no disruption in our system’ ........how’d that all work out ?
Listening to players; current or former sounds kewl but it NEVER is the way to make decisions - that goes for ER as well !

I eluded to some of this **** a long time ago and I got ripped a new one by the slurpers.
I've been around Miami and I've been around other programs. Even UCF has their **** together more than Miami does.

One thing they fail miserably at is creating relationships and making local guys feel like they're a part of The U.
I spoke about the experience I had with Manny versus the experience I had with Heupel's staff and I got accused of "needing attention".
But it's not just me. Local HS media guys have the same experience with Miami's staff. Guys who actually have knowledge of countless prospects and even a little pull down here. Guys like The Crib Media, Gold Feet, The Sack Sensei, etc. They will all tell you how poorly Miami communicates and how Manny tries to "big time" everybody. (like he's above communicating with them) This has been my experience with Miami as well as many other local guys.

There's so much more I can say but I'd rather not.
The whole operation is amateur hour, from play-calling to resources to recruiting to relationships.
But this is what happens when your HC and most of your support staff come from high school or garbage universities. (this doesn't apply to some of the new staff obviously)

Our program is truly diseased, worms have been eating away at the core of it. And that’s how you get losses at FIU, the “Instant Coffee” hire of Mandy, and on and on. Will the big honchos listen?

Hay cuz, hoz abut us havin a hoe down beefur the Tech game? Yu got me hungrey talkin bout fried possom tail and cyotee innerds!
Deel bud. U brang da afurminshunned gardun implamints an I wil brang da postum an coyote innerds. Granny Hawkins can play da spoonz an cuzzin Clem can work da mouth harp. Da U gon skor leese 50 on da nurds son! Quote me on dat.

Manny needs to build relationships with NFL coaches also like how Saban does he's pretty much connected with nfl head coaches especially with Patriots head coach. And I think we need a coach like that that's connected with championship minded NFL coaches thoughts?? Just to better understand from their perspective

They should hire you!

Doesn't surprise me in the least....Unconscionable that this program is where it's at for 17+ yrs....Absolutely No excuses for this level of incompetence...
