That’s enough to say fire Manny but hire someone that knows what an SEC program looks like and will demand these type of ways of working like Mario
The problem is that anyone like that would need iron-clad promises that the money would flow. I’m sure when Kirby went to UGA he said “this is how it works, this is what it costs. If you’re ready to pay, I’ll take this job”. So I think administration has to make an up front promise to spend like the big boys.

The real problem is that bama has money just sitting around so they are always thinking of new ways to spend it. Until you can pry the money lose, we won’t compete.

I put this in another thread… guess it belongs here:

Dj didn’t say much. Ahmmon was on fire. Anyone wanting to give many another year needs to know what he says:

- practices too easy
- No competition in practices (1s vs 1s)
- Acceptance of mediocrity
- Don’t demand perfection/excellence
- S&C isn’t good enough
- Coaches slow ID talent, slow to trust players
- ****** play calling
- Not nearly enough staff, coaches waste time with BS
- Players don’t do extra work
- Players cheat on their reps
- No player leadership so young guys pick up bad habits
- Losing is OK

He talked about Cager going to UGA and being shocked at the culture, which was everywhere from the AD down to the janitor. Players ALL put in extra work. Anybody who didn’t was ostracized. At Miami, nobody did. He said the 2 schools operated on different levels in every single way, and Miami wasn’t even close.

He talked about the amateurish nature of our program… when he was on crutches, he had to hobble around the campus w no help. Any serious school would’ve taken care of him. Talked about other programs having staff to help the position coaches w bull****, but Miami coaches have to do it themselves which takes away from game planning etc.

His solution was to blow the whole thing up, fire coaches and AD and build something competitive. This was an elite recent player, talking openly about the state of the program.

Thing is… most of this shlt doesn’t cost a single dime. And still not being done
Jesus

He's a good HC
He’s a clown that’s got more resources than you could possibly imagine. He’s also spending money like the progressive liberal democrats. I could coach them to the playoffs. Literally the only program cheating at the level of Alabama and the New England Patriots. He is a good coach fwiw the scumbags most always are. Every time I see him on the golf course, I throw up a little in my mouth.

We do have food trucks after practice. The players even get unhealthy fried food packaged to go after the games! It’s the little things. Who needs custom nutrition plans when there’s a snow cone machine
We have a nutritionist who does meal plans for the kids...Ever since Richt got the job.

Yea he installed the cheating method which makes him a good coach. He's the one that installed the way they do things and in college if u do that u will win. The only one in his way is bama. If Nick wasn't around he would have a title. I would trade coaches in a heart beat

We can't compare our budget to Alabama and UGA. We also don't need 50 support staffers on payroll for our HC/DC to know what a Linebacker looks like, and to know how to put players in the right position by year 2. If we wanted to know what Alabama and UGA was doing, we could've kept Dan Enos (who btw did recruit TVD I'll remind everyone). If the players wanted to be like UGA they could've easily walked over to Tyrique's dorm.

Pretty sure Ahmmon wasn't around when Feeley came in. He has no personal experience with him.

As for Cager, who cares what he says. His career with in the NFL is paralleling his college career.... nothing happening.

I'm sure Ahmmon is basing his account on what current players are saying.

Also, I care for what Cager says ....but at the same time...with what Ahmmon said via Cager's experience....wasn't Cager UGA's most productive WR the year he played there up until injury? So UGA was doing all that and has a bunch of 5☆ kids get out worked and beat out by someone who transferred from a losing squad.

Or could mean that our players are not maximized and cager is an example of what happens when they enter a culture that doesn’t allow dropped passes so he had to be accountable

This is what I wrote in another thread. The arms race is not head coach salaries, it is support staff.
Rick Neuheisel was recently complaining about the UM headset penalty stating that the NCAA cares about that but not the 10 analysts Bama has on staff who do nothing but review recruiting film. It was odd to hear him stick up for UM but it was more about how screwed up the NCAA priorities are.
"The arms race is not head coach salaries, it is support staff."

thats 100%.
its also a point I think a lot of people miss when discussing the next HC hire.

Wait so Cager dropped all those passes at Miami on purpose? Seems like he might have been self sabotaging.

Cagers career, ability or talent is not the point at all. It's irrelevant if he even played a down at uga.
The point is about how vastly different the two football operations are ran.

No he kept dropping passes and kept playing so he had no reason to practice catching better
Vs u go to place where u drop a pass u sit
Your practice mentality changes
But he transferred to Georgia because he lost his job at Miami.
