TWENTY ONE Blue-Chips

Glaring holes at S, DE, LB, G, RB, QB, TE and WR.
WR? Toney, Moore, Upshaw is a pretty nice trio. Wingo maybe gets in rotation but there is no JS or Toney

DE we signed are undersized pass rush specialists at this moment kinda like booker not every down starts like Lowe would a been.

Safety I can see someone like dunnigan starting

LB yeah their nice but not better that Wiley and whoever we bring in via the portal

G who is starting over Samson, Kinsler, McCoy?

RB Mallory ain’t starting over Pringle, Fletch( if he stays)

QB Coleman ain’t starting day 1… we’re going portal again

TE I really like the TEs we brought in last year and they have a leg up with experience in the playbook/practice

Soooooo RT and S are positions we signed possible immediate starters

I didn't see enough of any WR other than Toney to think they should be a shoe in to start. Last year Trader was in the same predicament and assumptions were made.

I don’t think any of the DL we signed are more than rotational players for next year.

Mccoy, Samson and Kinsler are nothing special and certainly shouldn't have spots reserved for next year. The hype their is a cruel joke at this point. Our best hope is to upgrade via the portal. I didnt even mention C because portal is a forgone conclusion there.

TE will really come down to who can block. I'm hopeful the Lofton experiment is over, but they dont really have a role in the passing game so I don't put much thought into who actually will start.

Otherwise, I agree we didn't bring in any guys ready to contribute in any way at those other positions.

Whats to explain? If someone sees 7 catches for 105 yards and 14 catches for 194 yards as definitive data that the position is set I have nothing further to contribute.
I don’t care either way but he was asking the question to you and he didn’t @ so I just did what a Maude should do. 💁🏻‍♂️

You realize this is prediction of starters from this freshman class? Not portal I can agree all day with you on like 80% of those positions should get a look at being filled with portal especially a every down DE, LB and Kicker

Yes, I understand the context of the OP. I see openings that could in theory be filled by freshmen. Just because we don’t expect it to happen doesn't rule it out. I'm open to the possibility of being surprised.

I won’t argue with that statement which is why I was saying as of this first week of December

I think most people knew Toney would be starting but thought the same with Wiley who I’m shocked didn’t play more this season. It was Bryce fitz who really stepped up early with plays and slid into that slot role

Either way I love we have talent on the roster that should be stepping up with another year on top of know if we don’t like what we have we have the money to find them via the portal.

Isn't that graphic off by one?

This was a graphic by Rivals. The thread I made last week was based off 247's composite. So I assume Rivals has one kid as a 3-star that's a 4-star on the composite, so that's the difference in 21 versus 20.

Still though, hoarding talent and this train ain't stopping anytime soon.

My top 4 in regards to NFL draft potential:

Cantwell-Obvious with size and power. His question is how fast can he pass protect well against speedy quick twitch pass rushers? Francis struggled his freshman season with this.

Ervin-Size and athleticism. He could be shaking Goodell's hand in 3-4 years. It may take him 1-2 years to be ready as he is little raw.

Paris-His size and speed combo are insane. Maybe 6'6 and a laser time 4.5.

Waters-Length and athleticism. Reason LSU made a late push.
I've said it before. I think his development is going to be exactly like Anez. He'll be an All-Conference OL and NFL draft pick by the time he leaves the U
