'Twas the night before Cookman, when all thro' the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even Vern in his FSU blouse;
The beers were stocked in the cooler with care,
In hopes that our game soon would be there;
The Canes were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of touchdowns & wins danced in their heads

And my girl in her thong, and I in my cap,
Had just settled DOWN for a short drunken nap—
When out on the tv there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the 60 inch I flew like a flash,
Tore open our beers, and threw A shot back.
The sun on the breast of the new started season,
Gave getting up hungover such a good reason.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a fūcking miracle my Canes are here,
With a little bit or breakfast & move of my dicht,
I knew in a moment it must be Mark Richt.
More rapid than eagles my emotions they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and call'd them by name:
"Now! Rosier, now! Walton, now! Norton and Shaq,
"On! Harley, on! Herndon, on! Jackson and Zach;
"To the endzone! All the way thru the fall!
"Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up the rankings our Canes they flew,
With the team full of studs — and CoachRicht was there too:
And then in a instance, I heard on the tube
The dancing and jawing as we ran the score up on Bethune.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
On the screen Mark Richt was to be found:
He was dress'd all in orange & green from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were spectacular with U's to his boot;
A bundle of plays were flung in his book,
And he look'd like a boss with just a look:
His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples: how merry,
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry;
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the stubble of his chin was as white as the snow;
The smile on his face was full of his teeth,
And the Wildcats smelled of a queef.
He had a broad face, and a little (less) round belly
That shook when he laugh'd, like a booty dancing to Nelly:
He had swagger and confidence, a right confident self,
And I smiled when I saw him because I have swagger myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And fill'd all the endzones; then turn'd with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose
And giving a nod, the Canes dropped more bows.
He sprung on his sideline, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle:
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—

Happy College Football to all, and to all a good night.
