TVDs lack of awareness in a nutshell

Move on. We won by 25+ today. He played good today and will play good at the next school he transfers to. He’s done more for this program than 99% of the people on this board.

There is a difference between good and great. TVD can be good. But even then not consistently.

He spent 6 games as the best QB in football and 6 as the worst. I hope he comes back and improves. For all the talk about the team showing progress: here we have a guy that showed he can be the best. If someone comes in and beats him out, so be it

Got a feeling he’ll get a few more next year to break the tie…

Tbe problem all season long...

It wasn't a terrible decision to throw to George, he was single covered and open enough. Just a poor throw on the run. Yes Young is more open underneath, but I think George is the 1st read here and Young is the check down. The decision, while not the best, wasn't a bad choice, just poor execution of the throw.

I'd say his relentless onslaught of picks earlier this year was the difference; but point taken. I'd take TVD vs BC all day everyday vs TVD during midseason. Throw the ball out of the endzone and regroup... we got seven the next play IIRC.
It's the same QB, but BCs defense is bad.
This is the same form.

Nah that’s all on Mario and Dawson
Nobody ever said Tvd wasn’t to blame , I mean you have read the board as he was absolutely destroyed for a month right ? It’s just coach cult like yourself who refuse to notice the changes in the offense the last two weeks and that blame could be on them as well.

Maybe asking why they were playing a guy who had no business playing for a couple weeks? Why was there so much more 11 personnel with more spacing the last two weeks ? What abiut a lot more motion? Use of the tight ends and running more than five yard routes? Wheel routes and angle routes to the rb? Why was there far less max protect sending 3-4 eligible receivers out against 7 defenders ?

Why did it take Dawson until the season is almost over to ask what he likes and doesn’t like ? Even Gattis did that in game 3-4. How ironic the last two games is his best games since September , weird timing wouldn’t ya say? Just like Unc after him and Gattis spoke. It is ok to help out a qb that’s struggling and also playing injured.

But keep fighting the good fight soldier.

JJ said many times : We must sign (2) QB every single year .

We haven’t, so here we are wondering why all this is happening.

Preach, they properly ****edddd the kid. He’s a good college qb. He’s struggled to stay healthy the last two years. Those struggles have perfectly correlated with our downward spirals both years. Certainly not the only reasons and Dawson and especially Mario shoulder a ton of blame. could have been healthy for FSU, with him healthy, that could have been a win, no other way around it.

Turrrible decision.

Just tuuuurible.

Yes, but do you know why he played better in certain games and not in others.
It's the why where people are critical.
Injury.

Same reason Joe Burrow looked like a backup in his first four games this season (only 2 TDs), then normal in his next four.

TVD is a good quarterback. He’s not incredible. He has flaws but he’s generally done a good job when healthy. You can comb through Caleb Williams’ film and find plays where he didn’t see a wide open receiver and he’s going to be the first pick in the draft. It happens. The issue is when he was hurt, we had no choice but to keep playing him because we have nothing else. Our coaches have not recruited the position well and haven’t taken a transfer. For a guy who supposedly isn’t good, our team relies on him to win games for us a lot. If he’s not playing well, our entire offense struggles to score points at all.

Give credit to TVD, but please remember he played a high school team! Boston has 2 star athletes at best, when TVD plays team who have talent he is very inconsistent!

Blame it on the coaching or TVD, but the kid is a Canadian Football star at best!

His struggle to stay healthy was also not his doing. Last year he had no shot behind that OL.
This year, between practice and getting drilled making a huge throw at UNC, he took some shots. Not sure anyone would have gotten up from that hit at UNC and come back to play like he did...
