Reminds me of the old westerns when the gunslinger walked into town. All the hangers on's, the sit arounds, the flighty in everyone else's business ran for cover, and the slinger strides up to the bar keep and orders 3 shots.
Downs them, then says to everyone " next round is on me"....then everyone crawls out of the woodwork and starts the conversation and hanging out with this new "friend".

The gunslinger did not change, they did, but when all was said and done he was STILL a gunslinger.

TVD has it, and who gives a sh** on how he looks, as long as he can get the job done and bring home the W's.

We are all stand arounds with mouth agape on this kid, sizing him up and wondering if he can repeat.

That is all right in my book. TVD is cool, and preps to win, and has a determined streak with NO bluster or banter.....just do your job and win.
To me the kid is a winner, no matter what happens down the road......he has W's written all over him.
