Bingo. I'm not as excited as many others in this thread to be hearing another year of how our gameday atmosphere isn't so great.Which TVD? Pre-Gattis or Post-Gattis?

Very trueTo be fair he led team to a come back last year. Manny’s defense blew another 4th and forever in final minutes and topped it with a dumb attempt at a goal line stand instead of letting them score and giving ball back to offense with just under a minute.
This is where I respectfully disagree. Plenty of QB’s in the league played with 4-5 WR’s in College.Say what y'all want about the offense...but the **** we run on Saturdays resembles what he'll be running on Sundays. And he didn't look good. He needs another year to show that he can play in an offense that isn't just 4/5 wide receivers running vertical routes.
also NFL offenses are way more creative than the **** gattis ranThis is where I respectfully disagree. Plenty of QB’s in the league played with 4-5 WR’s in College.
This, Gattis did nothing to scheme guys open on a consistent basis. Say what you want about Lashlee and his inside zone he had some great play-action off it and got chunk plays **** near every game.also NFL offenses are way more creative than the **** gattis ran

Not really.also NFL offenses are way more creative than the **** gattis ran
Okay that's cool. But that doesn't change what I said. This is where I respectfully disagree. Plenty of QB’s in the league played with 4-5 WR’s in College.
tru -- he looked way worse with gattis.. but even without gattis, need a dual threat and a vocal leader -----mayb a good oline can make it good enough, well. seeWith Gattis, sure. Doesn't sound like Gattis will be back so it all depends on who we bring in before I agree or disagree
I agree that comment was stupid , I was just looking for a more current eval, it's not like he is going to change his mechanics during the season. Most of the pre draft evals I've read say the same things about TVD, eyes and lower body mechanics.the most idiotic evaluation and not cause its negative of him. Its the ending which implies, "hey we are only in week 5 but if he has 5-6 good games and they win, he'll be an early pick". You either think he is good, has the right mechanics, projects well.....or not.
TVD def needs to be a better leader.tru -- he looked way worse with gattis.. but even without gattis, need a dual threat and a vocal leader -----mayb a good oline can make it good enough, well. see
Man, you’re almost making me want to give Gattis another shot. Was it solely lack of talent this year that made it go so wrong? Sounds like Gattis is a jerk as well so maybe that was part of it.Not really.
Gattis runs a lot of NFL concepts.
I've watched him clinic.
Y'all do realize that it's the same exact offense that Michigan is running right now, right? Same plays.
TVD is still declaring and going high in the draft had Lashlee stayed. This narrative is overrated.Okay that's cool. But that doesn't change what I said.
The offense TVD is in right now resembles an NFL offense more than Lashlee's does.
No NFL offense is strictly 10/11 personnel spread.
You’re not wrong, especially the last paragraph, but I’m still having a hard time getting over Mario knowing how things went down at Michigan last year and still hiring him. I know Gattis was plan E or F but it still feels like questionable decision making by MC.I tend to think that @Coach Macho could be 100% correct about the type of offense Gattis is running.
But I’m sure he agrees also that running a certain offense doesn’t necessarily make you a good or bad coordinator, especially when it comes to game day issues.
It could be said that one of Gattis’ biggest issues is the actual playcalling, and his actual ability to adapt to a defense he’s facing. You could run the most innovative and effective offense in the world, if you’re not calling the right plays under the right circumstances you’re going to get nailed.
