This is why you need a top tier QB. He can erase issues and mistakes. We are one of the worst teams this year in plus minus on the TO differential. I am a little miffed we didn't play him from game 1. I don't like when staff promises someone the starting job blindly.

Guy is the truth. If he continues to improve the upside is higher than any QB we have had in nearly 30 years.

WOW! That is amazing but he has been efficient, love it. Van Dyke is accurate on the long ball but his out pattern passes are not going to scare too many good corners, but in college football his skill set can win plus he is tough as nails. Also, is the offensive line actually blocking for this kid? I see him having plenty of time to throw, maybe its the competition but NC State has a well respected D. I would have preferred Garcia if he was healthy but **** if TVD isn't delivering great results. Keep making the most of your opportunities TVD you only get a few opportunities in life like this.

I have no problem with him not starting against Bama. King was supposedly healthy and given how the OL played (this is with Gaynor at C for whatever reason even though the OL looks 5x better with Clark), the QB would be running for his life all game. Can understand wanting to play the more mobile QB. I would not throw TVD to the wolves in his first ever start. After the Bama game, I could understand switching QBs because it didn't look like King was healthy, but that could have been rust so I get starting him against App State. App State was definitive proof that King was not healthy. A HC then has to ask, who gives you a better chance to win- a QB who is at 50% or one of the two highly rated backups?Given the practice reports (that TVD was really good), I may have started King but he'd have a very short leash. If the offense sputters out of the gate, I would make a switch after the third series.

Wouldn't have mattered, our record is probably the same. TVD took his lumps his first couple starts but now he's come into his own. Looks very confident and he's getting more comfortable with every game.

LOL. I think he throws outs really well. His deep ball might be his worst throw ha. Seems most comfortable throwing middle of the field. Threw a rope on that one slant yesterday. Would love to see more of that.
His slant throws are excellent.
