Turnover Chain (PLAYOFF ONLY)

Why are you all hating on the chain?
Because it was a Manny Diaz gimmick which I think was fine the first year when he was a DC but it carried over from him as DC to him as head coach and it became a joke. We were getting stomped and would get an int down three scores and players were celebrating on the sidelines while we were getting hammered.

It was the symbol of about everything about our program that went wrong - it was smoke and mirrors. No substance. There’s a lot more substance now. People don’t want gimmicks or bs fake bravado. They want to see results on the field.

That said, you don’t need to play in traffic for bringing it up. You also weren’t on this board when the chain was happening so you wouldn’t know what to expect in posting that.

If our team today that was winning 10 games yearly had it, it honestly would be sick af. But because the coach and team that used it never reached that quality and consistency, and we never won any meaningful games the turnover chain is kinda tainted
This is the only real problem with it in all honesty.

I loved the turnover chain, but it belongs in the past at this point. Also, Mario would never accept the gimmick.

That’s not a bingo…
Inglorious Basterds Idk GIF

hey you know whats so much cooler?

playing really good defense and jakobe thomas screaming so loud it comes thru my TV after ******* someones month up.

Forget the chain, I say we bring out the belt. This redemption tour rolls on.

A&M weirdos, followed by 2002 payback, then a potential Beck vs UGA semi… ESPN knows what they’re doing, get your popcorn ready, CANES ARE COMING
Don’t we play Ohio State after beating A&M?

I say we bring the turnover chain back out, but only for playoffs. That way it is not worn out, and the only way players can get to wear that bad boy is to get to the college playoff

I mean, when would a turnover mean more than in the ******* playoff?

What do you say?

I'd leave the chain alone - but maybe we can borrow FSU's little red turnover backpack.

They're not going to need it!

Maybe a new Turnover Codpiece! Orange!

Boy that was a time… with all the turnover chains, belts, crown and thrones that raggedy *** back was the worst of them. Wearing a backpack on the sidelines while in full football pads was beyond lame.

“Secure the bag”… smh.

It was fun at the time. And I get your angle.

But even if it didn’t go completely against Mario’s ethos, that ship has sailed.

I'm afraid Cristobal had it melted down.

No Fing way, that crap died on day one Mario. It’s a symbol of the worst time in U football history. Talk on the field with your play.
