Speaking of beer anybody tried that new Islamarada beer ? Had some this weekend, dang good stuff, wish they had it in Texas
 
Why is everyone who drinks craft beer automatically assumed to be a hipster? I love craft beer, but I'm about as far away from being a hipster as possible. I also don't frown on macro beer drinkers as most people think craft beer drinkers do.

Wakefield is the best local brewery by far, btw.

OCCC, I'm sure you prefer a nice aged bottle of bourbon or scotch to any old swill on the $10 bottom shelf. Same goes for beer.

There's also the notion that craft beer fans are just following some kind of fad or new trend and that the whole thing only appeals to certain fringe members of society. If that was the case, the mega brewers wouldn't be buying up as many craft breweries as possible to try to get in on the market. Molson/Coors, InBev(Bud) and Constellation Brands (most popular mexican imports) are desperately trying to regain market share they lost to the craft movement.

If Turnover Chain beer was pre-packaged Bud Heavy I'd still drink it because why the fvck not? I'm drinking it for the novelty.

With that said, I can not imagine it being **** regardless of the style. JWake doesn't fvck around.
 
I called the brewery yesterday to ask if they are selling and shipping to people who don't live in South Florida. But they said they don't they're only selling it directly from the brewery so anyone who will be going in buying some and would like to help a fellow cane fan from New Hampshire out please contact me at mjgandamg@yahoo.com thanks

Short brew times, easy to produce...brewers have convinced people that you can't be a craft beer fan unless you like to choke down the overly hoppy, biggest joke in "craft" brewing - the IPA. It's a **** beer brewed by every brewer on the planet in 15 different varieties for a reason - it's cheap, easy, and fools are convinced that it's the holy grail of beers. IPAs in winter? Why not!? Forget beers that actually take skill to brew...let's make up some bull**** winter IPA.

IPAs taste awful. Take your beer snobbery to the local protest. Turnover Chain beer should be for everyone. The very fact that it is so divisive proves that it could be more successful if the brewery decided to make a decent lager.

They don't make their money selling lagers. You are clearly not their target demographic because you are either a) lacking the refined palate necessary for anything but coors light or b) are too poor to buy expensive beer.

There is nothing wrong with that, but you don't seem to get it. They don't want to make lagers, they dont want to sell lagers, they dont want you as a customer. I am sure ABInbev has knocked on their door to get in that market, so far they have declined which should make their priorities pretty clear. They excel in sours, stouts and IPA. Gross, too expensive, and nasty, right?
