I remember some of this, 81 was my first year watching football in person at the OB. If you were a Canes and Dolphins season ticket holder in 1981 you saw a lot of great stuff. I've been rewatching games from that era...I know I was at the Penn St and ND games but I remembered little of them. And the OB atmosphere and crowd shots....watching those old games really drew me back in.

Even in 81 I wasn't wearing Sh*t like that....I was wearing OP's that weren't nearly that short...OP's (Ocean Pacific) were the sh*t back then...Corduroy or Non-Corduroy...

Yep, OPs were probably the #1 brand of clothing sold in Florida back then (regardless of the name OP), at least for college and HS aged kids. Also, Lightning Bolt. All those surf-related brands were dominant.

Also, everyone had one of these stickers on their car (if you were old enough) or Trapper Keeper (if you didn't drive yet). The younger porsters are not going to realize that this fine product was intended for use on a surf board...
