They go way back lolLived together in 2000? Them boys were in diapers lol.
probably not even born..Lived together in 2000? Them boys were in diapers lol.
I know most posters say its impossible that we win out but I wouldnt bet against these young kids. Guys like TVD, Xman and Kam are not afraid to shake things up and end the year 8-4 like some of our so called fans.
Just cause he wasnt great doesnt mean he cant coach...its 2 different skills..if that was the case we should just go ahead and hire Ray Lewis as lb coach and Ed reed as DB coach, Edge as running back coach etc...Eh idk about TVD learning from rosier
That’s awesome!Ferman and Shodell spoke to Malik after TVD's appearances today.
-Every Wednesday Rosier does a Zoom call with TVD. Usually they are about 90 minutes and They review plays and film via the IPad. Malik says he has TVD break down the plays, go through the film and explain what he saw, why he made the decision he did, etc. They go through all the possible progressions for that play.
- He also said he spends time talking about foot placement. Rosier says fixing Van Dyke’s feet is a priority - on film he’s seen numerous instances where the QB’s feet are pointing in a different direction than the throw.
“He has crazy arm talent, but a lot of his throws he throws with just his arm. So let’s put your legs behind it. You made a great throw, like the skinny he threw to Key’Shawn Smith in the red zone … his feet are to the left but his arm is all the way to the right. And he’s still accurate. That’s crazy. When you go back and watch some of his throws, his feet aren’t in line, that’s pure arm talent so if he gets his feet behind he makes that throw 10 out of 10 times. But where he’s starting is a great starting point.”
Right now, Malik is working for QB Country, which is run by quarterback guru David Morris. He was at Morris’ side during the training of Mac Jones and Davis Mills heading into the NFL season. And now Rosier runs the State of Florida for QB Country - he’s based in Orlando but frequently comes to Miami and even had an in-face film session with Van Dyke a day after sitting in the stands at the Virginia game.
Rosier worked with both Perry and jarren Williams this summer . He got involved with TVD through TVD's management rep. Shawn O'Dare. They did a trial session and TVD liked it so they have continued on. Rosier also works with Restrepo and Daz Worsham.
While Rhett Lashlee coaches TVD in the concepts, Malik says he talks to TVD about the "why". Gets him to think about the whole picture.
“We go through the practices, tidy up some fundamental stuff. Any insight I can give him, like the Pitt game he was preparing for their blitz but I told him go back and watch Pitt when they played me because they went single fire with a cover 3 behind it, which they hadn’t done this year. And in 2017 it was the same coordinator and I wanted to prep him. The biggest thing is prepping him in stuff I didn’t get prepped for myself, passing on knowledge and my study habits.”
Rosier says TVD is a humble kid and he knows he won't let success go to his head.
Malik texted him after the game he won last weekend - `Let’s go man, proud of you, road win and a top 25 team. The season isn’t over. … Take care of your body, have to keep grinding and keep getting better.’
Didn't realize Malik was QB coaching - but good on him. Well right now it ain't broke so...Ferman and Shodell spoke to Malik after TVD's appearances today.
