Not sure what you’re expecting. They're not gonna go beyond the company line or spew something outrageous. They’re selected to speak for this reason. Bigger issue is media types need to phrase questions in a way that draws them out. They are all very earnest. But honestly, it's like listening to the Stepford players.... They say the exact same thing.
"have to execute better" "have to do our jobs"
I think they will. But there is truly nothing to be gleaned from listening to these interviews.
Mark Fletcher is a willing talker. Andrea Adelson did get a bit more from him on what exactly "executing better" meant to him.Not sure what you’re expecting. They're not gonna go beyond the company line or spew something outrageous. The even bigger issue is that the media must walk on eggshells with their questions, so they aren’t truly allowed to phrase them as you suggestNot sure what you’re expecting. They're not gonna go beyond the company line or spew something outrageous. It’s true at every major program in the country. That said, there’s an art to phrasing questions so you elicit more than a 2-3 word response. Adelson asks the most concise questions & isn’t afraid to counter with a thoughtful follow up.The even bigger issue is that the media must walk on eggshells with their questions, so they aren’t truly allowed to phrase them as you suggest
