If anyone believes this guy, didn't benefit from being around 1st round picks, just like Mac Jones (who I suspect will not do well as well), don't be the GM of my team (the Chargers) ever please. Mac Jones is a very similar QB to Kyle Trask, not a tonne of velocity on the ball and tend to put more air under the ball with elusivity, being limited. They can move, but there movement skills are comparable to an Andy Dalton as opposed to a Justin Herbert.
From an evaluation perspective, it's got to be hard to evaluate anyone on the Alabama team, at least on the offensive skill position side. Considering they have ample amount of times (i.e., double moves, check downs, ample time for scramble rules, system designs allow you do anything since you have so much time, etc.)
I'm a nobody when it comes to evaluation but a good barometer is seeing how the team does without you as a QB.
Take Big Ben, he's off the field, the offense looks like complete trash. Meanwhile, the 'Phins (while Fitzpatrick is better then Rudolf) they are comparable if not better. Not the greatest comparison, but you get the idea.
