Trust the process

For everyone freaking out that Mario is off to a slow start. Don’t get me wrong the disaster that occurred a few weeks ago was unacceptable. This is a full rebuild from the bottom up. But I will say this…

Everyone remember when Butch Davis went 5-6 and they flew champs to chumps over the OB. Butch did this in year 3 of his contract not year 1. Butch then did the unthinkable and assembled the greatest collection of talent in college football history on a roster. If Butch had stayed he would’ve won 4 titles minimum IMO. But that’s a topic for another day. For gods sake Saban even lost to Louisiana Monroe his first year at Alabama.

Rome wasn’t built overnight. I trust that Mario will lead us back to the elite of college football. I think by year 3 he will have us back in national Top5. Trust the process people. Basically what I’m getting at is this is our 1997 year all over again brighter days are ahead…
I'll feel better knowing Big Manny has a binder.

We need to create a WINNING culture. The locker room needs tone setters and enforcers like Nate Webster and Al Blades…

The kids on this roster don’t seem to have a desire to be great. From the outside looking in that is what I see. I see entitled kids going through the motions. It’s a culture that has been passed down from Randy Shannon, Al Golden and Manny Diaz.

It’s on Mario and his staff to erase the last two decades and get this right.
Many of them really do have a desire, and always have. Some of them did at one point and lost it, now they are jaded. Some of them committed because it was the path of least resistance.
Right now they are getting worked harder than every before. We could have won more games if we hired the right OC that didn't try to "fix" TVD and the offense, but we still wouldn't have been this 11-1 team people we dreaming up.
I do know this. Mario is f*cking grinding at this thing, he has a good plan and an unbelievable work ethic. We are in good hands.

His plan is to work, recruit, be physical (from his mouth). and run an Offense from his playing days(what I have seen in his career). A nice generic plan that every coach has…

Is this Trust the process like the 76ers......been hearing that **** for years for them to do nothing

Can we win while trusting the process? Why not play to our strengths?

Can he just blindly build toughness in practice? Do we have to run into a brick wall 3 times in a room in the middle of a game to build toughness? If MTSU can out-tough us is it wise to just keep trying it?

I like a good and balanced attack too but I also like winning. This is like a student I had who broke his hand playing bloody knuckles in middle school. I mean cool but now you can't do anything for 3 months. Have fun.
