I have watched a couple of his podcasts in the past few weeks and like most of us here he saw our flaws when we were winning.
 
Penalties.

Playing a phone booth offense.

upset minded teams entire goal is to keep the game close and have a chance at the end to win on the last drive…. What does Mario do? Bleed the clock refuse to make big plays to create separation and allow those teams exactly what they want

ITS NOT DAWSON!!! Did you listen to the video, IT STARTS FROM THE TOP!! I dont know how you listen to that and deflect where the responsibility lies.

I said the same exact thing, I still havent heard the exact quote but when peope said this was said on tv broadcast I said this is what @LuCane and others were alluding to earlier in season. As an OC to say this out in open should be a bigger deal. That is embarrassing to say publicly, I am comfortable being bored on offense?! WTF!! 28 ppg gets you ranked 70th on avg scoring in nation! 70th in nation gets you FIRED as OC and HC!!!

WHY ARE WE COMFORTABLE WITH 70th RANKED OFFENSE GOALS?! This is the big problem with mentality. ANYONE who has played offense knows first thing you instill is an attack scoring mindset. I still cant believe he said that to national broadcast team..
 
To go from #1 scoring offense to Mario instilling 70th ranked offense goals is not what I thought ya meant by beck is more efficient checkdown gawd.. #GoodRiddanceWard

Exactly, this is effing crazy. No way those are Dawsons words, none. He is checked the **** out. He still sucks too though
 
The man got it right.

Mario's approach is run, run, run. Even when we get nowhere, nowhere, nowhere.

Check my past posts - I've been bit*hing about this from our first game.

Get rid of the OC and if we have to - let the QB call plays. Or an assistant coach. Even a cheerleader can mix things up.

I could hang the play sheets on a wall, throw darts - and mix it up.

Two random plays selected simultaneously - a chimpanzee can choose and be correct 50% of the time.

Mathematics says so.
