Plus, politicans do not spend thier own money on anything. UM adminstartion is more than capable of hiring a worthless HC all on its own without any sort of bribery. They've done it before, many times.

No quality OC is coming here for less than the 1.5 mil penos was getting, and it will provably have to be more than that because Manny is a lame duck coarch. So someone (mammy sr.) with juice is gping to have to arm wrestle somebody to open up the purse to pay for this oc to work for his son.

We're not doing stupid things under coercion :unsure: ..we are doing it because that's been our MO for the last decade or more.

you should be embarassed to throw out that his Daddy " bought " him the HC job. Ho would that work? Sr. strokes a check to the UM for what- 6-7 million? miami says " ok"? Did he do that at UT also when Mack Brown hired him as DC?

I know Sr and he is a man of the highest integrity without any political scandal who did his 2 term public service and backed away from the spotlight .

You want to rant about a crappy season, go ahead. Its totally warranted. What isnt is throwing out ridiculous " theories" straight out of moms basement to impugn the integrity of someone you dont know with ZERO facts or basis.
 
Oh, and as for the OB tear down, the REAL backstory there has little to do with City of Miami politics. It has a lot do with :

- Certain strong money players in town who did not want the baseball stadium built in downtown near the Arsht or AAA. Think about who donated the Arsht, and who owns the Heat and you are on the trail;
-This forced the City to look at the OB site ;
-To get money to fix the OB the COM would have had to declare it an National Historic Site, whic hwould have brought matching funds but also would have prohibited any major renovation in the future, ie, it would forever be a football only stadium, so forget ever converting to soccer, baseball etc;
- in 2007 the UM announced it was leaving the OB to Dolphins Stadium leaving the OB with no tenant or use outside of HS games.
- Diaz Sr loved the OB and wanted to preserve it but circumstances outside his control took over. Thats the bottom line. Want to blame someone for the OB? Shalala pulling out.
