I seem to recall somewhere that a decision to not allow former players on the sideline was made by AD and Admin during the Shapiro investigation. I do not know if it is still in effect.

It's not just former players, it's boosters in general and, as noted in previous page of this thread, former
players are considered boosters by NCAA.
And even this decision did not come from Golden.
Of course, these facts didn't get in the way of the resident loons on this board with agendas.
